I have listened this piece about 500 times and every time I listen this one I I remain deeply thoughtful about the multiple layers inside. About the vitruosity required to compose, play, record and master all that great-great music. My moments in these "memories are on the 3:07 - 3:19! For me this piece remains one of the most wonderful models in this genre. Many many thanks for posting that, Alexandra Zerner! And God Bless You!

+MR GIBS Thank you for the support! I am happy, that you like the piece so and you're finding the layers and the reasons I wrote this piece in this particular way. I've never do random things in my compositions - every note has its place for a reason and I am glad, that you can see that :)

I love the way this music is put together. I think back to the winter i learned the song perpetual burn, and most of paganini 5th caprice , and how it was a realization that. Composer Jason Becker had taken the caprice approach to another level because , violin is tuned in 5ths and guitar is 4ths with 6 strings( or 7) , the impetus of guitar has so many other cool things , like 2 octave sweep arpeggios, 3 octave triads, expressive note bending , it is awesome the spirit of that approach is continuing onward

It's so good to hear good music again. It's nice to see how you play guitar and how to use your technique, how to make music with it. I can hear from your music that you are primarily concerned with music and not with playing technique and love me. Musically you go the right way, you do not need to show anyone how good you are, you can hear that from your music and technically anyway. I wish you a happy new year 2019, health, longevity and much success!

Hello Alexandra. I just listened for the first time to memoirs of a Geisha and I like it very much. You have a good and fast technique with your fingers and a very good timing. Which band is your favorite and your biggest inspiration ? I also think you have a very good and unique sound. It is a mix of hard rock and symphonic rock, with metall too, and I like that very much. Some times your guitar sounds like a guitar mixed with keyboards and it is just so impressive. You are a very good talented musician. Keep on going and keep on rocking girl !

Thank you! I think that feeling is essential to playing - without it it would be pointless. I invested a lot of time to practise bendings in tune - recently there was even a comment on facebook that my bends are "too much in tune" :D Of course, certain fans of blues prefer a bit more négligé manner of playing...

I listen to this track at least twice a day. Trying to listen to others as time allows (oldest to newest) but this is by far the powerful one I have heard yet. Going to have to get this CD i think. Someone commented about a Marty Friedman vibe but I just don't feel it. I do feel a George Lynch influence though. I am a huge Dokken fan solely because George is a god (Don is ok lol) and you are right up there with him to be sure.

It had been 5 years already but i still return here and listen to it again. Don't you have sheet score/tab of this? Usually to get rid of such an obsession i have to play it. Something like this usually takes me around 60-100 hrs to pick it by ear precisely. In this case it is probably a bit easier, since you've recorded your fingers close, but still...
@AlexandraZernerRocks3 жыл бұрын
I am really happy that you like this track so much! Unfortunately, I don't have tabs - it's a very time-consuming thing to transcribe my works and there's almost no interest in such things. You're probably the 4th of the 5th person who asked for tabs of my tracks since I released my first album, which is already more than 6 years ago...
