I love double reeds. The bassoon and oboe are such unique instruments in design and sonic character.

Great players and a great chamber combination for a trio

I love how much he quotes the 3rd mvmt of the sonatine for bassoon in the 2nd movement of this piece.

I believe it would actually be the opposite, since the Sonatine dates from 1952 and this trio was composed in 1949. I'm assuming he used this as his base material for the Sonatine.

As Jerver noted below, the second movement is virtually a reworking of the third movement of the sonatine for bassoon and piano. If you like this work you'll love that bassoon sonatine!

But wasn‘t the sonatine composed afterwards? In the 50s I believe

Alexandre Tansman was a close friend to French philosopher Vladimir Jankélévitch ; this makes him all the dearest to me ; I love his music and am glad that Mr. Gianopoulos has uploaded this jewel. Thank you, Mr Gianopoulos. May you upload other works by Alexandre Tansman !

Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for this piece? I'm in a wind trio at my university and I would love for my trio to learn this, potentially for one of my recitals if possible.
