The purpose of this channel is to showcase New World PVP and demonstrate how a tank without CC, without mobility, and with mediocre damage can dominate a 1vX scenario. How does it feel having no elemental resist though?

I think the frequency that we get fire dmg is waaay less than the frequency we receive arrows/BB shots/spear hits. Thus, I honestly think physical aversion is much more useful.

what about melee weapons with elemental gems ? is it enough with no elemental resis ?

Elemental resistance works ONLY on ranged elemental damage. Practically, only BB/Musket/Bow. All those deal thrust damage too, so I prefer Physical aversion + Onyx gems.

Hi thanks for sharing your build, I am a dedicated PvP tank and play SnS WH in Arena and SnS GA in OPR. I am not yet familiar with greatsword. No elemental protection makes me curious. Can you say something about it? I see you are successful with it 👍 Subscribed.

Thank you for the sub! As you mentioned, I do not use any elemental protection or freedom anymore. I used to have full elemental aversion + freedom set, but after the recent patch, I do not think it's OP, contrary to the popular opinion. When it comes to elemental aversion, we are basically talking about Fire Staffs, since Ice does not deal any significant dmg. Even without elemental aversion, we get 10% magic resist + 15% from Fire Resist potion, so this is more than enough to chase mages. Also, GS has the ability to block projectiles (both with calamity counter + blue shield), both magic and arrows, so I can avoid damage if I am fast enough. Fire staff skills are telegraphed, so with Counter I can manage just fine if necessary. I prefer Physical Aversion so that I can take more arrows + BB shots instead. In OPR, my goal is to hold the gate so that no one goes through. For Wars and OPR sometimes I also switch to 500 CON, so that I become absolutely disgusting. However, that's a build for another day. In my channel, I do have some OPR footage.

U can see his attributes in the inv menu bottom left. Probably a combination of the high con, hale and hearty house buff, and increased health from physical armor.
