Much like Italy (and France) last year, Ukraine's pity voting this year sucked up the vast majority of the available televotes. It's important to remember that a country has to come in the top 10 of a nation's collective televote (and jury vote) in order to receive ANY points at all from that country. When something is so drastically exerting a gravitational pull, it leaves few crumbs for many others.

The language they are singing in is breton, a regional french language, from Britain (Nordwest France),

They sing in a Celtic language of a northern part of France called Britanny. Their language is similar to other Celtic languages of Britain like Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, Cornish and Irish. There are also Celts in northern Spain in Astruria, Galicia etc The green symbol like a triple-spiral-thing is a famous Celtic symbol.

Definitely surprised by France's placement this year!! It was in my personal top 10 from first listen and when I saw it come 24th I was just shook... Great reaction though guys!! Such a unique performance ❤❤

the fact they're not only from brittany and singing in breton but using a LOT of elements of breton culture that are accurate and genuine while doing something so modern and fresh is really great I love this song.

the language is Breton (you can see the likeness of the word Britain). Some people consider it to be one of Celtic languages.

Fulenn was superb. Since its inception, it was my favourite of Eurovision 2022....until I saw Sam Ryders Eurovision performance....then it dropped to 2nd place. Fulenn deserved to finish waaaaaay higher than it did. Aside from the travesty that it finished 2nd last, the biggest travesty for me is that it finished behind Belgium and Azerbaijan. Those two were by far the dullest of the night.
