Read the quote from her in the description. The way she speaks of herself and her music is always moving to me in so many ways. I mean this when I say it, that I’ve never connected to an artist more than with Eartheater. Her choice of imagery in her lyrics, the themes of transformation, growth, sexuality; her use and transformation of the word faith throughout this album all resonate with me so powerfully. I cannot stop listening to this album. I’ve never connected with one more.

Growing up in rural Romania as an Orthodox boy I had eventually figured out that I did not fit into the dogma. I was not the most religious, but enough to create a clash between faith and identity. Faith and hope of living a life free of fear. For me, hope was the one that made me feel like life was worth living, because it promised me that I will not suffer in the very end for simply being who I am. Converting to hope is an arduous journey, and I still need time to complete unraveling my own inner intolerance. Faith can consume hope.
