Just an update on my hand surgery. All healed but still a bit tender on the palm. The GREAT news. Those adjustments i had to make to my grip to protect my right palm have weakened my right hand and I am now consistently hitting LONGER and STRAIGHTER. Thanks for all your advice, I used your back to basics grip advice just to be able to get back on course on the golf course and it has really worked.

Its true! In Florida while on vacation I needed to rent a set of clubs at a course. Because I’m a Lefty, they only had a ladies set available that day so I had to use them. Once all the jokes were over, I was out-driving the group on some holes, and I ended up playing one of the best, most enjoyable rounds of my life. Size matters! 😆

the putter alignment one interesting...i use the alignment to the line (high point) i want to take to get to the hole. this change have been either short online or pass the hole on high side with means reading the put back is easier.
@markdimeo70606 ай бұрын
All great tips but for me, cleaning up those short puts with confidence. I already feel 3 shots lower. Thanks Alex.
@billybilly37775 ай бұрын
Next time on the practice green try hitting toe putts for the short ones. You can hit them a little bit harder and it keeps them on line better than hitting it on center and easier, at least for me.

Interesting for #1! I’ve weirdly found my best driving game ever by “extending” my hands a 1/2” off the back of the club resulting in a long and pure fade, but playing a normal grip or up on it makes me duck hook it like crazy. Every other club I play standard grip. I call it “hand and a half” grip and It’s definitely a “homegrown” swing as I can find absolutely nothing supporting the results I’ve gotten out of it.

It boggles my mind how much better I could be with my chipping if my grass looked like yours. Hardpan, three inch deep grass, or wet . This is what I have to deal with.
@jerryturner23106 ай бұрын
Same. I could also drop my scores if the greens were decent where I play. It's always a tradeoff though. Do I want to be able to afford to play every week on bad courses or do I want to play nice course and only be able to afford playing once or twice a month. You definitely get what you pay for.

This is a victim mindset. Great chippers/pitchers put it close in many different situations. The type of grass is irrelevant. Git gud
@billwatkins82275 ай бұрын
@@verissimus3008 well although you are correct, you could also say, “if you put the ball on the green in regulation on every hole, you wouldn’t have to chip at all “.

For me, I think the best one to use is to only hit partial wedge shots when possible. I can hit my 56 about 80 yards, but why bother. Use the 52 and swing easier for more control.
