In Smash Ultimate, it lasts for almost no time at all, and her kit doesn't help either. Smash attacks clash with basic moves, like dash attacks, and they can shield during Witch Time too. But in Smash 4, yeah, it should be included 100%.

Liki Lester I mean, you’re not wrong. With the exception of smash 4, Zelda down b was busted. In melee and brawl it buffed her in almost every way, and in ultimate it has extreme range, high damage, can peel people off the ledge, can 2 frame, can be used as a shield if you know displaced phantom, and is her best zoning tool. Why they buffed it in patch 7.0.0 we’ll never know.

Not a professional by any means but what about Ultimate Roy Side Special? Basically Smash 4 Limit Cross Slash that can give any character an easy killing option in general thanks to its raw strength, great speed, and is also useful at lower percents as a combo ender. Might just be because it's Roy the Boy we're talking about but I'd just think I'd bring that up.

Another thing about Shulk's monado arts is that they all have a drawback as well. Both Jump and Smash make you easier to launch, shield and speed make you deal less damage, and buster makes you take more damage as well.

Shulks neutral special in ultimate is the best move in the game. No matter what attack you try to argue is better, with Monado arts active those moves could be even better than that. And no character relies completely on their neutral special, so they still have options with the new neutral B. Every character gets a better recovery. Every character can combo better. Every character can kill better. Monado arts is the best move in the game.

My absolute favorite move in the game is Terry's buster wolf. Its just so satisfying to land. It's just something about Terry saying "Are you ok?" Not as universally versatile as say shine and not as dumbass broken as Brawl bananas. It's a very good move but it's not in the very top. If it gets grabbed or pocketed, Link can't even use it anymore, not to mention it can be hit back, which makes Link unable to throw it out willy nilly unlike stuff like 64 lasers

In a competitive setting, Brawl Meta Knight’s Dimensional Cape is easily the best special move of all time. Get a percent lead, and use the Infinite Cape glitch you stall indefinitely (which is very difficult to do, but possible.) It’s the only move that’s ever been totally banned in competitive play- even *Wobbling* didn’t achieve that.

Link's Remote Bomb in Ultimate is also easily one of the best. It is everything from a zoning tool, a kill move, a trap, an edgeguard, a tossable item to extend combos with, and even a recovery tool. It interacts with the rest of his kit too such as shooting it with his arrows or boomerang to knock it into the opponent or hitting it with your sword to launch it at surprising angles.

I love how you don't really even mention what makes shine so broken (i understand it, it would take a lot of time to describe the most broken smash move of all times IMO, if you don't wanna read all this, is how you end the move), well, i guess that's my job, as you said it's a frame 1 intangible move with reflector properties on frame 4, a frame 4 oos option for fox and frame 6 for falco, with combo and edgeguard capabilities, but, that's not what really makes shine broken, the best part about shine it's not doing the move, it's ending it... What makes shine broken is the fact fo being jump cancelable on frame 4, what this means is safe preassure, heavy combo game for falco, a safe and fast way of turning around in the air, a way of staling safely with the free oos card of canceling whenever an oponent comes close, and also, since it's jumpcancelable, you can cancel to other things too, as i said, you can preassure with shine and aereals safely, but you can also shine a shield and wavedash back to bait an attack, or shine a shield and do a jump cancel grab (canceling jump to grab), or do shine jump canceled up smash to combo (the Wombo combo clip has one of this), you can also cancel it to up B (just for BM btw), or more importantly, you can do a jump cancel shine (doing a shine the first frame you are in the air so your jump's momentum stop and you instantly touch the ground, basically giving you acces to shine oos) out of another shine, doing a double shine, or a triple shine, or infinite shines if you are technical enough, giving you access to the most opressive shield preassure in the game, being able to mixt it up at the moment you want, for either a grab (free tech chase, edgeguard, or u-air for kill if fox, and the same, just changing the u-air for a chain grab / combo) a strong attack like u-smash (shield break), etc. That's not even mentioning that you can do a pseudo infinite with fox's waveshine (wavedash out of shine) wich works on every character that doesn't get into a tech chase when shined, and that you can only scape if either 1 the fox player mess it up, or 2 the fox player isn't reacting to your di, you can also combo with it with each character, falco with basically any areal, or fox with some of his waveshine follow ups, like drill up-smash (kills around 100, and if you are puff say goodbye), d-tilt, f-tilt, u-tilt, jab wich combos into up-smash or grab, up-smash, d-smash, f-smash, grab, n-air, reverse b-air, a falling f-air (just the first hit) wich combos into n-air, you can alsl hit an up air, you can wavedash back after the waveshine and apply preassure, etc + you can do even more stuff that i can't cover here, but as an example i would say Mine Shine, a glitch that allows you to let the reflecting hitbox of shine (just the reflector, not the hit) for 1 frame on practically anywhere you want to (if you wanna learn how to do it search High Tier Oddities, a video from Asum Saus)

I think Smash 4 Sonic's Spin Dash deserved a mention here. Spin Dash was one of the best moves in the entire game. 6 frames of intangibility, incredible burst movement with Spin Shot, combos into Sonic's excellent up air, leads into a Spring Ride kill confirms, and best of all, it was shield-cancellable which made it non-committal to throw out in neutral. Sonic's viability in S4 was almost exclusively tied to the effectiveness of Spin Dash.

I think most snake players would put his grenades over tbe missle. Zone control, interrupting projectile, able to throw in a bunch of different ways, creates frame traps, frame 1 combo breaker, it pretty much defines his neutral and synergizes with the rest of his kit.

I think Falcon Dive in Smash 64 is one of the better moves in that game as well. Not only does Captain Falcon yell "YES!" when it lands, making it satisfying to do so, you can use it again and again until the opponent either dies off the top of the screen or you mix it up with another aerial. In fact, one the most common combos in the game is the Falcon standard, where you chain multiple up airs into the Falcon Dive to kill most characters on the top of the screen at mid to high percents, If not only to bring your opponent to those mid to high percents. It's really easy to do once you get some practice in, and you can be very satisfied taking a stock off at 80% off the top of the screen.
