2 жыл бұрын

On July 13, 2021, in the Bahamas, Alexey Molchanov of Russia dived to an incredible depth of 126m in the discipline of Free Immersion.
The most remarkable fact about this new world record is that his performance of 126m/413ft not only replaces his own previous CMAS world record (118m/387ft, set in the 2019 CMAS World Championship in Roátan, Honduras), but also replaces the overall deepest record in this discipline (125m/410ft), which Alexey made at the 2018 Vertical Blue competition.
For 8 years, the world records in this discipline belonged to William Trubridge. In 2011, William was the first to surpass the world record of the legendary Herbert Nitsch (120m/394ft), diving 1m/3ft deeper. In the next years, William continued setting the record deeper until 124m/407ft. In Vertical Blue 2017, Alexey Molchanov reached the same depth of 124m, but upon surfacing, lost his tag, ruling out the possibility of a world record.
Only a year later in Vertical Blue 2018, Alexey successfully reached the necessary depth to set a new AIDA world record in FIM to 125m/410ft. In that competition, neither competition host William Trubridge nor anyone else could compete with Alexey in this discipline.
In the 2019 CMAS World Championship, Alexey set a new CMAS world record in FIM to 118m/387ft. That result stood until today, and now the new CMAS world record is 126m! What an improvement and an amazing result - and on the first day of competition with 5 more days to go! Congratulations, Alexey, we adore you!
The Molchanovs Mission is to share our love of freediving with the world. We do this by cultivating the level of knowledge and skill of all freedivers, by building global and local communities that fuel passion for freediving, and by developing gear that provides the best freediving experience possible.
Our inspiration, Natalia Molchanova, is one of the greatest and most decorated freedivers in history. She was a passionate educator and a role model to many in the freediving community. Molchanovs is firmly rooted in her philosophies and approach to freediving, and is continuously updated with the latest developments in education, technology, and scientific research. We are inspired and honored to have had Natalia as our inspiration. Without her, the Molchanovs Movement would not exist today.

I haven't even tried going that deep without apparatus. It's plenty deep to go without bringing life support equipment. Most I've gone down to is about 8m, and swam around for a bit. I can do a bit over 2 minutes, and I can swim the length of an olympic swimming pool. I prefer bringing scuba gear though.

What an awesome record 126 metres! wonder how long he hyperventilated for before this unbelievable record depth? would also be interesting to know how low his heart rate/pulse was before the descent ? one thing i did notice he never used his legs once , he only used his arms , definitely mind over matter to achieve this

No hyperventilation at all, its very dangerous and actually not beneficial at all to freedivers. What you see him do before the dive is called packing, and its to get the maximal possible amount of air into the lungs

I need next feb march leave to Indo. I met a man in a place and the agressive woman destroyed me to not allow to be with him meanwhile we were dancing and starting to feel comfortable. I felt calm and me on in him. He could be a free diver but he is i don t know where xactly and I am as a bear in a zoo in bcn city allways making circles to nowhere. So if I reach this Blondie amazing man person I can have calm and hope if not I only need to take the desition strong to leave and don t come back till Indo Pacific area. So when u find the right one and all is a big mess around you realise nothingelse is necessary. So I have myself and I can free dive and go in the depth in Indo where they allow people to free free dive or share with masters both things not only on in the center, yes all over the indic green ocean. Hugs kissess and happy 2023 for all the freedivers. For u ur family and I said before. Hope to help you on the surface. Maybe I can help you on the depths. Hugs and kissesssssssse
