@jmcalzolari3144
@jmcalzolari3144 Жыл бұрын
The weight of the water that surrounds you builds up pressure as you go deeper. Therefore your entire body experiences that pressure but it is mostly felt by your ears and sinusal cavity’s. To equalize pressure you simply have to pinch your nose and push air through it. Your ears will pop as your tympanic membrane comes back to its original place. You can experience the same phenomenon, on a smaller scale, in a descending plane. Although you should never do this when coming back to the surface as pressure will equalize naturally when ascending, and adding pressure at this moment can be harmful.
@kentaur.1555
@kentaur.1555 Жыл бұрын
Very simple, learn how to equalize pressure. Same like your ears hurt on a plane. I can easily snorkel to 30m, although pressure of the normal diving mask on the eyes is annoying

I remember being 21 and dived at 12 feet pool, touched the floor and went up. It felt like fighting for a life getting on surface and running of air. I did my best swimming and still was panicking and almost drowned. When i got out my ears were in bad pain from pressure for one week. I don’t know how it even possible to do dive and up even for 10 meters. I truly don’t know…

El record es de 133 metros y pertenece a Alexey Molchanov en un torneo llamado Vertical Blue. Si bien usan aletas, se compite en el mar (Bahamas), donde el agua salada tiene mayor presión que el agua dulce de una piscina o alberca.

One question, he doesn’t seem to blow out any bubbles. He should get rid of the CO2 in his blood, doesn’t he? How does that work?
@johndalton9170
@johndalton9170 Жыл бұрын
If he blows bubbles out underwater, he's not only getting rid of the co2 in his lungs but also any remaining O2. Also, if he breathed out underwater, he would become more negatively buoyant, and it would make it harder to get back to the surface. His ability to tolerate high CO2 is why he is as good as he is. I did a freedive course at the age of 45 having smoked for 30yrs. Went from a 1 min breath hold to 4 mins.
@mke7605
@mke7605 Жыл бұрын
@@johndalton9170 Thanks, that makes sense. Must be hard to learn to control the breathing reflex that you get from high CO2 levels in the blood. My hat off to all freedivers!
@johndalton9170
@johndalton9170 Жыл бұрын
@mke7605 You build up the tolerance with training. But as they say in the commentary, it's about relaxation and mental focus. Notice he doesn't try to swim down to make the dive faster. Relaxation in free fall means the co2 buildup is slower.
