Considering I am 7 generations removed from Yunnan, where my immediate ancestors left in the late 1700s to mid 180s --- having no connection to Hmong in China for at least 200 years ---- I could still understand much of what these Hmong were singing. Hmong in Yunnan are very easy to understand. But these Hmong are further up north and east of Yunnan, in Guizhou. Their "accents" are extremely strong but, even without subtitles, again, I could understand most of their singing...

@@tokaitrading8335 Miao(Hmong) is orginated from China. Due to many wars on China's land, part of them migrated to the south, this is why they also live in southeast Asia and south Asia nowadays. Besides, you can also find many miaos in the US, they are from southeast Asia, migrating to the US following Americans due to Vietnam war.

I know many Hmong people in the US have negative opinions about China or Chinese people. But little do they know how well their root culture is preserved in China. Miao people have amazing culture heritages including music, dancing, clothing, food, architecture, and so on. Thanks to the exposure in both Chinese TV networks and social media, many cities/towns with dominant Miao populations became popular tourist destinations. In contrast, the entire Asian community is underrepresented or stereotyped in the US society. Second generation kids are trained by the schools to be neoliberal leftists, some of them can't even speak mother tongues not to mention embracing their cultural roots.

@@darrenchan4594 🤣🤣🤣 Naaaaaaah, I will simply have a counter response here : Should the US get out of Hawaii, Alaska, California, Texas, and Louisiana? Hawaii was acquired by warfare Alaska was purchased in 1867 from Russia California was “sold” to the US as a condition of Mexico surrender in 1848, thus acquired through warfare Texas same as California Louisiana was purchased from the French in 1803. Most of these lands belong to Native American (beside Hawaii). How can the French and American sell and purchase stolen lands? With massive genocide no less. Now, you will ask, China did too. Yes, China annexed Tibet in 1206. Xinjiang was a nomad land with no owner. Many tribes of people came and went. In 1800s, Qing dynasty officially took Xinjiang as part of Qing empire. So if you demand China to do the right thing and return ill gotten lands by warfare and invasion back to rightful owners, perhaps America should lead by example and return these lands to their rightful owners. !! C'mon Fucklungongers !!?! 😂😂😂

I really enjoyed this video! I visited Guizhou a few years ago. The waterfalls were truly awesome and the sceneries amazing. There were not a lot of tourists and it’s supposed to be the poorest region in China. Look at it now! 😍

In the west we have festivals, raves, football matches, national days, etc...where we drink to get drunk and get wasted, have a fight, vandalize, be a menace , harrass others ....and forget the next day what we have done . lol
