Thanks for sharing this Alexis, this was really helpful cuz I literally just started my channel and I'm learning as I go. I recently moved to a cabin in the north of Sweden from Miami and I learned so much about myself. It was a silent chaos, but it taught me so much about myself. I now post on KZbin about self improvement after surviving the Boston Marathon Bombing and ending up homeless, working the night shift in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Miami and living with PTSD. I appreciate you🙏🏽

So I am “one of those” people who doesn’t usually watch vloggers, but I have been wanting to start a yoga KZbin channel and wanted to see what the journey is like for a new KZbinr since there are so many. I truly appreciate the info you share and your openness. And I subscribed because I like you explained this and you have a great approachable and authentic personality. Thank you!

Very interesting video because so many people are curious about making money in YT. Especially from a vlog channel youtuber. But don't change your overall content strategy. Keep making vlogs that document your life. This is your creative engine. The variety content got you going and will keep you going. Most people just watch KZbin growth hacking channels but never actually start a channel and grow it. Most people give up. Then they just watch vlogs because they are more relatable and helpful. Vlogs have a natural power, and that's why they are all so popular and have been so from the beginning of KZbin.

I definitely see value in having someone who doesn't make content specifically about youtube analytics sharing their analytics. It's like learning about math in school versus seeing an actual real-life application of math. At least that's how my brain sees it lol.

Thank you for sharing this! As someone who's been spending an unhealthy amount of time staring at my analytics page I find videos like this really interesting. Also have to admit I came here from your youtube-pay video. As you say both in that video and this one, seeing things from the point of view of a "smaller" channel is really interesting since it feels more within reach than the big multi-million sub channels do (even if it's nice to dream big at times as well :) )

Thanks, Alex for making this video. To be honest, I kinda stopped watching the KZbin expert channels because yes, they share their analytics but those really don't help for other content creators, other than other youtube expert channels. I also feel like more and more people start KZbin tips channels because that is what they see work so well. Personally, I watch all kinds of channels, from Graham Stephan to Kelly Stamps and a lot of other KZbinrs who don't really have a specific niche, since I don't want to do that myself either. I'm looking forward to your end of the year overview.

i just watched it earlier and 6 months later it's got 474k, not too shabby, 3x growth on that vid in 6 months, very nice. Seems like your RPM is a bit over $7, but like you said, maybe bc that video more money-oriented as is this one, which hasn't yet taken off - maybe update the title to how much yt paid me for 100k views, and that's it. leave the rest in the description, just a thought ;)

KZbinrs that make finance or analytics videos have a higher cpm and rpm because the viewers who watch these videos are usually adults who are more likely to clic and watch and consequently tend to spend more money on the ads that are advertised. In you're case you are def above the average.

That's nice but definitely not as a single source of income. I'm still wondering how people live lavish life just from making you tube videos. Maybe from sponsors because in NYC you wouldn't be able to survive with 2000$ average per month. I wish you grow big and bigger because that's really hard work. Do you need to pay taxes from you tube income as well?

I've certainly watched other channels who have gone down that route (yt growth niche) because they had some videos take off. And I think they've done well from it financially short term BUT they've ended up having to change direction with their channel later to maintain their own interest and motivation. There's only so many KZbin analytics videos from one creator that is informative for people to watch anyway. I think Alexis has been smart in setting the expectations clearly on what her channel is about and committing to still producing the content she's excited about. And amongst the people who got suggested her YT YT videos on the home page, some will stay for her personality and shared interest in the other stuff she's doing. Mid October and I'm here because the video talked about in this video got home page suggested to me today. I'm assuming it's continued to spike up again!
