I’ve had anywhere from 1 - 5 at a given time. For me, 3 cats is the sweet spot. But depending on space, finances, how busy your schedule is and other factors, more than 2 may not be a good idea. Also, if you rent, the limit is usually 2 pets.

Congrats! I think everyone should have two cats! Cats do get lonely and having a second cat is so good for them ( providing the cat likes other cats! I personally don't think you need to wait too long to introduce or allow them to be together! As long as Bennet has his shots you shouldn't have to wait too long....Also, you should put up cat shelves for them in that spare room! So fun!

Congrats!! She is the sweetest 😻 I fostered kittens for the ASPCA when I was living in Queens, and they were always sniffly and sneezy when they were first brought into the shelter and needed a lot of extra TLC 🥲 I hope the full integration with Bennett goes well post-quarantine! Cat distribution system gets us every time!!! A friend of a friend's cat had kittens and I told them if there ends up being a black boy cat that's not claimed, I'll take it. And lo and behold!!!! There was 🤗 and that's how Billy came into my life. Cats are the absolute best. Congrats to you and your babies!!

one of the best things about getting them as a kitten is you can easily train them to not fight back on claw clippings. my two girls have NO idea they are supposed to hate claw clipping time. haha its just normal for them!

i got my cat Charlie the same unicorn toy, when i adopted Charlie i was told she was a girl named Julie and a few weeks in living with Julie we discovered it was a male cat, so Julie became Charlie and now we have 3 male cats. A 20 year old grumpy boy, a sweet 7 year old and Charlie who is 1 year old and dominates the household and is absolutely mad in a good and fun way. proud to be a cat mom.

Totally unsolicited advice, but if you haven't already, I highly recommend pet insurance. You never know what a kitten will get into or decide to eat - and that's an expensive vet bill. Plus there's usually a discount when you have more than one.

Your video about Bennett is how I first found your channel.. Soo.. But anyway, what a cutie, love how she was making biscuits on your hand in the beginning. I also had the tough choice to pick which kitten(s) to adopt. I wanted two from a litter of four. All girls, so that was an easy choice. It's great you decided to give Bennett a little friend. A lot of house cats get bored and depressed when they're alone😢 I'm sure those two will become great friends! Btw a lil tip: try not to play with Olive using your hands. You do not wanna teach cats to play with hands. Their little bites and scratches might be cute now but once she is grown up it's gonna hurt! 😅 Rather use that string you had to play! Hope she adjusts nicely ❤

She's so cute! A question though: Is it common in USA to get the kittens at that young age? In Sweden, the kitten must be at least 12 weeks old when you separate it from it's mother. This has to do with the development, and week 8-12 is the most important in a kittens life, where they learn things it need to know from the mother cat. Just curious, no shaming!

Give each cat a blanket or something they sleep on let their scent get all over it and then switch them so that they each get used to the other cats smell before introducing them it will help the process so much better as they will be used to their scent
