I live in an RV and after 2 years I finally bit the bullet and bought a portable washing machine. Have you ever looked into that? I figured it would save us money since we never know how much the laundry will be wherever we are at (sometimes $5 a load, per machine). I got the Costway brand since that seemed like what everyone liked. It is super easy to move around and I just use it in my bathroom and have it drain into my shower (it actually acts as our clothes hamper now so I just run it when it gets half way full lol). I actually watched a number of people who live in NYC review it before buying. Just thought I would offer that as a suggestion!
