So great to see these two together. I get the feeling George is anxious. He has a lot more riding on this than Dallas who of course has been wildly successful with City & Colour. Regardless, I’m stoked. LOVE the new track.

George is not one to shame his body. He's been rocking that Dad Bod even since the last time I saw him Live shirtless. Which was when they toured with Billy Talent that year of 2013 I think it was. He was fucking lit on stage, and in the end it didn't matter, his singing was on point. I sure hope he has the same energy now. The show is gonna be insane. I can't wait until I get a ticket for them again. These guys fuckin' rock!

Hopefully they do release a full album! Would suck if they didn’t do a proper album and tour but any new music is good news.

Alexis have such a cult following that they're in a position now where they don't really have to follow the conventional rules of releasing music. They just kinda make stuff every now and then and maybe they'll make an album or maybe they wont. People (Like me) Love the band so so much that anything is better than nothing and initially losing them was such a tragedy to music that now we are getting something back. Whilst they aren't "officially back" as Wade said, they are definitely not gone. Plus they already have more songs so here's to the conformation of more to come! HELL. YES.

Great interview. I like the part where George is talking about neural pathways in his mind lighting up before a show. I've been going to their shows for years and years, they are consistently one of the best live acts I've ever seen. I feel the same way when I'm in an AOF pit and they are just about to take the stage. It's electric.

'At their own pace', something bands never had the choice of selecting. Think of it, the pressure of selling records has come to a point of genuine growth of having true fans fueling the artists. Despite the music industry's dire change, fans will shout to the public of who is deserving or not. This is a genuine example of fans showing Alexisonfire that they still need this band, despite record or single sales. Going back to 'at their own pace', this allows the creativity and flexibility of time to conjur what could be a formidable return. Im stoked!

Familiar Drugs is a damn good fucking tune, so glad these guys are going to keep going with it. If someone has an idea that requires multiple songs to carry a theme, they can do it. If there's a single like Familiar Drugs that just sounds good on its own, they can do it. I'm so excited for whats coming.

I'm perfectly content with new song every few months. Thanks AOF! I look forward to more. As far as Familiar Drugs goes, I like it, but I love the debut album and miss George's older screams. Now that you don't have to do an album and commit, think you could dabble with your older sound?

They’re bugging. There’s no way they don’t know that they’re still one of the hottest band still. They are still that huge...I can’t wait to see them June 8th. They literally sold out in seconds. They’re music from the beginning, the middle and the later years is still very relevant. It still sounds amazingly good, no matter what year it is. I fucking love this band with everything I have in me. Their music has just something about it that could bring me back specifically to any certain year way back when.
@DekaDred15 жыл бұрын
Such a cool interview. So happy and excited for new music.
This Could Be Anywhere in the World was their best song. I feel like it put everything they're great at on full display, and it was just dope. Can't expect bands to stay the same, but just one man's opinion, they should use that song essentially as their platform for their new stuff. People still want to hear that.

Except that came out 13 years ago, they have matured as men and musicians. The new song definitely shows it.

HIDEAWAY ST CATHARINES ONTARIO. These guys would skateboard chill and be rad n humble with us as their fans so early in their careers. Dallas I first heard you in HELICON BLUE. George you found my shoe at Level 3 watch out CD release... many good times and memories. Listen to where you guys all began. That's where you guys will find in your hearts to write modern music these days. Bring it home guys write your hometown fans a song. Remember where it all began. Familiar Drugs could have been better and I feel Dallas lost how to jive with Alexisonfire. Relax and remember what it was like to belt it out with the boys, not on your own. Honest opinion.
