It’s crazy to me that I remember getting emotional watching this when it came out a decade ago and now I’m binging new AOF like nothing happened. Love these guys. #THEONLYBANDEVER

Gallows is such a fitting name because this band has always been charismatic and mired in gallows humour. Such a good doc

Wade, as a 32 year old Canadian who worked the promo team with your old label, handing out the pink skull sampler to kids at shows (still got 1 or 2 wrapped) - and now living in Bangkok - I apologise if I got drunk one night, ran into you here and drunkenly babbled about how awesome you guys are....and then completely forgot about it. Kind of worried that was me lol

Legends. Thanks for producing this video. Thanks to the guys for making such outstanding music for so many years. I'll add my best Alexisonfire story from a Warped Tour event near Toronto. No idea what year this was, maybe ~2004-2005(?). For some odd reason, AoF was not playing the main stage, and the secondary stage was ringed with merch tents from sponsors. Given the crowds AoF drew on their home turf, it was impossible to get anywhere near the stage or inside the "concert area". So I climbed on top of one of the merch tents and found myself with the best view in the house! Raised 15feet off the ground, it was amazing view and great sound. Others tried to follow my lead and climb up, but I decided to play fake bouncer and casually wave them off like it was my job. Everyone obliged. When I climbed down I realized my bright red Hurley (or Vans?) shirt matched the colour of the merch tent I was standing on. The perfect con!

My one and only AOF show was the first night in Montreal of the farewell tour. Drove 8 hours from central Maine, partially in a snowstorm, but it was so worth it! An icredible memory! #theonlybandever

I saw this tour, the day after Christmas at the docks in Toronto. I saw the show with my good friend and we were both huge fans since the early days in the early 2000's. When they played Old Crows and sang "We're not the kids we used to be" I got goosebumps and had this overwhelming feeling of nostalgia and joy. With this being the farewell tour and the fact we were full grown adults now who had grown up with Alexisonfire, this really felt like saying goodbye to our youth in so many ways. Phenomenal show. I'll never forget my friend crowd surfacing at the front and later telling me "George fucking touched me!"

Sorry Dallas, you did get too big for the band. City and Colour got big with a larger fan base across a wider swath of markets. Nothing wrong with that, but stop playing diplomat and just be real. I think there was a moment in this video where he said "we may or may not have had problems." Just own it, champ.
@gykin906410 жыл бұрын
he means in personality i think because he did admit to city and colour getting too big (to do that and alexisonfire at the same time) in an earlier interview, it kinda sucks either way but i think its better for a band to end in its prime than living long enough to suck..
