It's never explicitly said that she's embarrassed of that. Actually, her friends know her mom is a nurse and I believe she tells Cameron at some point as 'a matter of fact' and not really as a confession. They make it look like if Padgett would've never thought that her mom's profession would hint on her true household income. So weird, I know. But well, when her friends confront her about it, they actually start with that piece of info, as to say that "Dah, it's a no brainer". Personally I think that's just lazy writing. The only way Padgett could've sustained such a big lie for so many years is if she had a tangled web of lies going on. She could've explained her supposedly rich life if she had a real or imaginary rich dad living somewhere else who allegedly supported her and her mom, then the lie could've had a greater impact. Also, it's very strange how supportive her mom is with it. It would be a different story if she had just come clean about her income and said that everything she had was made out from her hard work. I think that's cooler than a your parent's wallet, because from what they show in the movie, she was doing pretty good for a teenager.

Eveb Netflix had no hope for the success of this shitshow. They literally put as much sponsorship in this movie as possible. Like every five minute there was some company shoved into our holes.😂 Core water, pizza hut, kentucky, many make up brands in the beginning and all the chips they didn't even try to hide. They were like well, since we're making the biggest flop of the year we may as well put all of our sponsorships in it. They weren't going to lose any money on Addison, that's for sure.

I felt like for a first movie she did amazing, she was definitely probably already overwhelmed as it was considering how many people did want her to do the movie before she even started filming it, then after expecting backlash. Yes it’s cringey, that’s also the whole movie in general lmao. People only hated on this life so much because Addison was in it. If they would’ve casted literally a stranger on he street they wouldn’t have a single problem. The script itself sounds terrible they’re literally told to say these lines it’s not like addie wrote the movie. 💀 same as actresses and musicians today more practice better work

@@zanetapenny8388 his review/reaction of Shadow and Bone actually has made me feel more positively about the show. There really is nothing like the way Alex reacts to TV shows I feel in his cartoony kind of way. The dry humour is enough that you'd almost think he's British without the accent xD.
