I think the thing that aged poorly is mostly the scene of them having to "proove their sex" and the side charackters being shown to love it. A) because that‘s litterally illegal in public B) It feels transphobic to yell someone‘s sex out to everyone through a megaphone to try to "expose" C) them depicting a team capitain suddenly forgetting how to football/ soccer just because she‘s a she. Yes, she wouldn’t be the best of the male team, but that drastic drop in capability and knowledge would require amnesia or serious weight gain or something Other then that, I don‘t think it‘s that bad either. Yet another teen movie which is an update of a Shakespeare play, in this case, Twelfth Night. Amanda Bynes and James Kirk don't really look that similar that people would mistake them for each other, so they have to work around it by having Olivia close her eyes when kissing the real Sebastian. It's worth noting that the school had never met him before, but it's less plausible later on.

I also hope Amanda Bynes is happy. I haven't watched this movie for years, I know I saw it more than once but I also remember basically thinking it wasn't a rewatchable movie even though lots of my friends watched it over and over. Yeah all of this explains it pretty well. And I didn't remember that but it is really weird she suddenly needed that sort of soccer help. If it was learning the different style of play or play book that would make sense, different teams can have really different styles, formations, etc that could take a while to pick up and get comfortable in. But I'm guessing whoever wrote this doesn't really know anything about soccer so they just said "she was good at soccer but now she's trash."
