This is just ⅛ if what you deal with. Other drivers on the road who do not respect your size and weight and cut you off. Rude dispatchers Disrespectful loaders Long weight times at loading docks that interfere with your required delivery windows DOT rules and regs Weigh stations with cops who have a chip on their shoulders Traffic jams Sketchy truck stops, criminal activity in parking lots. Add in the fact that you are living in a space about the size of an SUV. No on demand running water, no sink, no toilet, no shower. All of that is at the truck stop and you have to pay extra for it. Then......... Try driving 8-10 hours every day........ There is all the time away from your family. The list goes on and on.

I love the fact that ever since someone tried to break into his truck, he's always locked the door and put a seatbelt around the handle. Just shows that he is being prepared and precautious.

Nobody tried breaking in. And if someone did, it's not hard to get inside them. Most keys work for different trucks and I'd bet money there's a spare key hanging from the oil dipstick tube. You won't know the hood is open with that curtain blocking everything

I found a braded steel cable long enough to reach through both door handles that I could padlock. Didn’t trust the seatbelts as they can be easily cut if a window is broken. Made me feel better anyway. I got paranoid in some of the places I had to park. Don’t do otr any more thankfully. Local and home every night now. Stay safe out there.

The foam plate was created to be eaten on, the foil appeared to only heat up without sparks, and the radiation of the microwave is operating at such a low radiation wave frequency that it cannot give anything radiation poisoning. That said, putting foil in the microwave is still a cooking hazard and is not advised.

I love that you go to the gym. Too many drivers die being OTR without many healthy options. Proud of your efforts. I hate that certain delivery spots give you such small room to back and maneuver. I’m still getting used to the 53s with a sleeper. I got my CDL with FDX fr8 and was driving day cabs with doubles. This local job has a sleeper for a 2-4 hour wait.

It’s easy once you get the concept of how to do it. You learn what doesn’t work by messing up. The most important thing is don’t hit anything. When you graduate Cdl school you don’t know how to back that truck up for shit. But after 300+ delivery’s over 6-8 months. You get really good at it. It’s something you do everyday. Sometimes multiple times a day. At truck stops and shippers/receivers, Etc. Baseball players don’t start off being great at it but they practice, practice,practice until they got good enough to be professional at it. If you do something over and over again it becomes 2nd nature too you.
