It does in a tent too. Properly weatherproofing. Camped in America and Canada for months as young woman. With a group but separate tents. All weather's. Monsoon rains, gales, snow storms but not dangerous unless trees fell. Took in turns for 2 of us to cook hot meal every night whatever weather for rest of group. Worked very well. Batch shopped and always had food in. Warm sleeping bags, soft air mattresses, well proofed tents. Guide insisted on it. We read by light of our storm lanterns. Very cosy. Bears a challenge though.

Even now 50 years later, I love to hear rain lash on windows ( in England alot of that) Snuggle under duvet with a warm drink handy and electric bedside light to read by. I feel so blessed to have a roof so pray for those who don't. Our Church has Street Pastors for such times and my son and i used to pack bags ,then son would go out with other young Christians and find those in need . Often he only slept when he knew others were safe and warm and fed. In his 20s and early 30s then. We are mightily blessed and God loves a cheerful giver. Or one who is sympathetic. Ferried people to hospital in storms with chest infections and some had pets. Ahhh. Couldn't believe I was packing doggie food for their pets once. All changed now. In 10 years a great difference.

There is something straight about the independence here. That's part of what is so appealing. This looks like the freedom I dreamed of when I was a kid. We trade away all this as life goes by, but when I see this I realize how powerful a pull it still has. That is one amazing camper. I was even happy to confirm (the cookie desert) that the propane stove and oven actually worked, after all. But I absolutely fell in love with that little wood burner. I have to say that is the most impressive and unique camper truck I have ever seen. I can't drive, I have never been to Alaska and have only ever been in snow deeper than 2 feet about twice in my life. Still here I am watching a man in a truck in the snow. 😁

Y RENT...Exactly!!Absolutely love this; The quaint tranquility of having your own little palace in the middle of nowhere. I'd personally would have a dog for company. Beyond that I LOVE IT❤❤❤

NO DOG'S, their smelly, you have to give them a bath every so often and where are you going to do that, the inside of your cabin will start smelling up the cabin like dog, you've got to save extra money 💰💰 for dog food, you have to take them for a walk and of course they have to use the bathroom, overall it's not worth it, something else to worry about.Their HIGH MAINTENANCE.

@@craigbosko2229They're only smelly if you feed them most any typical dog food. Dogs on a raw diet to not smell, not even their poo smells either. But raw is quite high in cost. I pay about $30.00 a 1 lb. bag, but I don't care - it's good for them to eat right. I enjoy their company and their inconvenience. They don't complain, are loyal, grateful as well, and often better than humans can be. You are missing out. And that's too bad for you.

I love your cozy cabin on wheels, it's so homely and comfortable. ❤ The only thing I would do different is to pull up the drawbridge once I'm on the deck and store the steps on the deck. Even in a snow storm, you never know who might come calling, and leaving the steps out is a bit of an invitation.

@@meggert2360 Good point, that would be a tempting smell. On a side note, I cried when he dumped the juices from the meat. All that flavour dumped in the snow. It's not like venison is a fatty meat, so that was just pure favour decorating the snow. But, each to their own I guess.

When my dad passed in May 2023, I flew to Phoenix to pick up his truck and drove it back to Oregon. Although not a camping trip, I loved every minute knowing he was watching over me. I've never slept behind the wheel at a rest stop in a more comfortable truck seat before. I can only imagine how much more wonderful it is in a homemade camper. Cheers!

Nice. A cheap add on that could help warm the camper using your furnace would be thermal powered fans on the stack. Heat powers on the fans so it circulates the heat.
