You don't need the same size tire for the spare..... yes you want to have the same exact size (width) for extended driving, certainly high-speed etcetera.... but in terms of getting you down the road and to a more proper replacement, it just needs to be the same overall diameter (what most laypeople think of as "height," top to bottom)... other companies have recognized and done that... lame excuse on Acura's part. You don't even need to have the same diameter wheel, as long as the brakes clear on whatever your spare wheel is. I wonder if there are still securement points under there (like the Non type S) that are just blank, where you could put a spare from the regular Non Type-S model? Edit: Comparative rubber-band 21s seem a bit much on this. Just on principle, I would put the 255-width 20s from the Advanced, Technology Etc, trims, or even 19s from the base, all around and give up 3% in the handling to get a more compliant ride running on regular (non-run flat) tires, and of course as a bonus put a spare from the regular set up in there if there are fitment points that work.

It's a really competitive segment premium/luxury three-rows. Personally, I find the gas mileage to be unacceptable for a Honda/Acura vehicle in 2025. Honda used to rule the fuel efficiency game roost and, I'll bet that this one won't even get that not so good EPA number. I like the plug in TX 550h+ and a usable third row (I'm not driving Munchkins around) and the 29mpg across the board. For me, that is the winner in three rows currently. Sure it's about $6K more than MDX type S but it seems like more for more to me. Oh, if you are planning to track your three row SUV then this might be your ride.
@beb15272 ай бұрын
We have the regular V6. I’ve gotten the advertised 25 MPG on the highway one time, and it was on break-in so I was babying it. I’ve had no problem matching EPA MPG #’s in all my prior vehicles driving “normally”. If the 25 highway was achievable without babying it, though, it would be good enough for me.

I think the refresh looks amazing. Something about the font end just looks way more muscular. Unfortunatley with the arrival of the Lexus TX, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave, the MDX is just a little too small in my opinion, people looking for accommodating third rows will gravitate towards the bigger competition.
