The main difference between this and the equinox is the platform. This was built on the traverse platform, and the one MAJOR advantage of this over everything else in the category, including the cherokee, grand cherokee, edge and so on, is the 2000lb payload rating. This thing has insane payload for what it is, and 5 people, all their cargo, and a 4000lb trailer still don't overload this thing They NEED to put the 5.3 V8 in this thing. It was designed for FWD, they had it in the Impala SS about 12 years ago. This thing with a 5.3 and AWD would be absolutely insane. I would say the 2.7T would also work but they just put that torque through the roof and I doubt the 9 speed can handle 420lbft

Last Friday, I picked up my 2022 Black on Jet Black Blazer RS. I test drove the '23... the extra inch on the wheels ruin the ride a bit, and I actually like the smaller screen allowing for the flat grippy dash to be utilized when working in park etc... I think they should save the V8 for an SS version later, I got a great deal, and prefer the lines of the 2022 over the '23 as well. I grabbed one of 2 remaining *new 2022's within 300 miles, fully loaded, sunroof etc... I'm happy w/ it, for 43k. one year later lol... and that's about the time I was sharing a vehicle after an accident... I agree w/ you 100.... it's just different, solid, feels heavy, built right, no creaking... Very happy w/ it. I want to say it's the 2019 debut, tweaked and perfected before the '23 "refresh."

James.... agreed. ALL American automakers are so far behind their European and Asian competitors when it comes to sharp interior design, materials, and trends in style for the inside of the car. Non-American makes have so much more creativity, luxury feels, and sylish looks. Makes it hard to pick an American car over them. The Sata Fe is a great example of this compared to the Blazer, yet not just this example. I also wish ALL automakers would Stop with this ugly "pop-up" info-tainment tablet that "raises out" and up above the dashboard. Never have been a fan of that design and I see it in almost every car now. I prefer a continious inset design that is larger and emdedded into the dash. Some makes and models do have it now, but too many are using the style that raises up out and looks like a tablet sticking out of your dashboard. I've ways wondered if that is a possible safety concern in the event of a collision.

I wish Chevy was a more reliable vehicle. We have owned 3 chevy's and each one cost us gut wrenching amounts of money to keep running. Each was purchased each less than 4 years old with less than 50k miles and we traded them in before 80k because we could not afford to keep fixing all the issues. We had a 2007 Equinox, 2012 Malibu, 2015 Impala. Every single one of those vehicles left us stranded multiple times. (Head gasket issues, Electronics, wiring, computers, fuel pumps, CV joints, Alternators, AC Compressor.) All of these issues were between 50k-80k miles. FAR to many issues for it to be a fluke. I love the look of chevy, but reliability is more important to me. Toyota all the way for us now until American made can last past 100k. EDIT: for all the people asking "Why did you keep buying chevy's" Well, those chevys were spread out among 3 different people. One person was not buying chevy each time. 3 different people bought 3 different chevy at the recommendation of 2 different friends. As stated before. We love chevy styling, and we have learned from our mistakes. All different vehicles.

A few things I'm disappointed on, is the fact that this is a FWD based model, and/or no performance model. One can be remedied if a new engine can be applied. If you are giving it a Camaro look, it should be a RWD based model. If not a RWD based model. The LF3 FWD/AWD 3.6tt (from the XTS V-Sport) would be a perfect match for this SUV. Both ride on similar platforms, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

The assembly plant in Mexico has been closed since the end of August with the reopening continually delayed by the supply chain issues. Funny how I just received a Costco incentive for GM vehicles. Really? There are a total of 37 RS trim levels within 2000 miles of me, so how are you supposed to redeem this discount when there’s no vehicles available? With all the supply chain constraints, why does GM still advertise at all? Also, I'm somewhat surprised to see recycled tech from over 6 years ago. I just picked up one of the last *new 2022 Black on Jet Black Blazer RS in my area of 300 miles... It has the Panoramic Sunroof, NA 3.6L V6 w/ 4 cylinder eco mode while maintaining gears over distance. It's fully loaded w/ *20" wheels that make it a smoother ride against the 2023 I test drove back to back. Not to mention I feel the lines and edges are exactly what I wanted if I got an SUV... I love the flat dash, the individual climate control, stadium seating, driver presets for steering column/ seats, fan cooled and heated seats, heated steering wheel etc... All this is to say, if you can find a *new 2022 RS, Grab it now! the 2024 has been announced, the 2023 only has the larger screen that *for me... gets in the way of the grippy flat dash and if not able to relay a video signal, not worth the extra 5k, as well as losing some sportier lines/ exterior aesthetic of it's 2022 counterpart... I drove off the lot w/ 53 miles on this vehicle, it cost me 43k after 2 promotional discounts... and I'm absolutely in love w/ it. Took me 11 months of looking at small/ med pickups, SUVs that don't look like UFO's and Banks GMC/Chevy out of Concord, NH wasn't playing pricing games w/ me from the jump. I love this vehicle, I work in operational/ maintenance for the state, this is exactly what I wanted w/ a more than modest look, but heavy solid feel... it's just different... The first time you close the door, you'll know what I mean. I can't think of a feature I'd want, that the 2022 Blazer RS doesn't have, or can't be optioned in that the '23 has... It is highly detailed about what kinds of mechanical problems the respondent had that year. If you had a catalytic converter problem, you tell them so. It's very objective. For V6 engine it should be upgrade up to 350 hp. For 4 cylinder turbo engine it needs to be more than 250 hp. The last disadvantage of a Chevrolet blazer 2022 it is not available with auto fold side mirrors.
