they introduce a new original character who's in the point blanc academy that has hacker skills. i think that's a better move than using characters we already know, the same way you're mentioning their use of sabine(or was sabina lol, it's been so long since i've read the books and seen the film, sorry haha)

For goodness sake, Somebody tell me WHERE and WHEN.....This is a series for television Yes? And is it going to be on Terrestrial TV, one of the Sky channels, Netflix, Amazon Prime, I need to know to make sure I’m set to watch. And WHEN...... I’ve been waiting for years for this to happen, and I got a phone call from my daughter last night to tell me. This should be all over all social media, and advertised. I can’t understand how I’ve missed this. I’ve loved every one of the books, and have them all on audio books to, and listen from the first to last at least twice a year. So Please someone tell me Where and When.... I have to go scouring the internet now to see if I can find out myself...

Yeah he does appear, I've watched the first 3 episodes as of right now and he appears in the first 2 episodes, the show seems to be split into two storylines, Alex at Point Blanc and MI5/6 or whatever it's called, I don't remember but Alan Blunt and Mrs Jones seem to be looking for the murderer of Ian Rider, it starts off minor at the start where I am but there's a few scenes per episode where we cut to the agents trying to find out who did it, it doesn't take too much screen time off the main plot being the Point Blanc storyline which is nice but it also gives a nice break from Alex' storyline, I'm expecting Yassen to be found out towards the end like he does in the books

I absolutely LOVE the books. They're Amazing! I have all up to Secret Weapon. I've ordered Nightshade & hopefully can get my hands on a copy of Undercover ( WBD ) . Alex Rider is my #1 favourite series of books. I think I've been reading them for 11 years ( stumbled upon Point Blanc in Gr. 6 in 2009 & got me reading & buying all the other books ). Sadly this doesn't look like it's keeping true to the books at all. I believe that books need to come to life & not some parallel universe thing where there are significant changes in the story. Characters appearing too early or not looking anything like they did in the book, race & gender changes are pretty awkward. Additional scenes can be added that don't change anything from the books but the movies & TV series should be like watching the exact events of the book on the screen. The Stormbreaker book was much better than the movie ( which I did enjoy ) . The movie changed quite a few significant things & omitted scenes I would have loved to see on screen. If other movies / TV series can keep true to the books, I don't know why Alex Rider has never been able to do that. Surely Anthony Horowitz will know that fans of AR want a pure, accurate recreation of his brilliant books. Many fans were upset with Stormbreaker because of that. Now the series looks like it's departing from the books too. Very disappointing. I'm not saying that the series will be bad, but it won't be true Alex Rider because of many changes.

I doubt it. They've said this season covers point blanc with some flashbacks to stormbreaker. They are the first two books, crocodile tears is the eigth so they are quite a way of covering that one if they do the rest chronologically.

So many things wrong with this version... -Why is it dark and over serious?? --Why are so many characters white washed, blackwashed, size washed and just "washed" all together? -Kinda made this point already but why is miss Stellenbosch cast as a normal looking Instead of the giant bohemif (pls forgive spelling) shes meant to be? -Why are you retconing Stormbreaker like it doesnt exist? This series is supposed to be an adaptation of the books. Whats the point of this Endeavour if youre not going to be true it? If I wanted to watch Bodyguard, I would watch Bodyguard. Not everything has to be dark and serious as that show. Ironic that the books creation was inspired by Bronsnan era James Bond and they chose to live action it more like Craig era. Call me when they decide to take this property more seriously.

horrifyingly bad tv show, bad adaptation; ruining and diluting the action, taking out action scenes, less gritty, less action, less expansion, poor choices aging up Alex (ruining the whole premise), giving Alex a team (a doofy friend who wasn't doofy in the series) and girls; very bad tv show, not doing some of the books; movie was better; books are superior.
