Welcome back to another episode of ChriswithaC RC! Today, do I have a total treat for you and me! Team Corally has once again amazed me with their incredible Asuga XLR 6s Buggy, and I can't wait to share this unboxing experience with you. After being blown away by my Syncro4 and rekindling my love for buggies, picking up the Asuga XLR was a no-brainer. Massive thanks to Lukasz from Team Corally for helping me get my hands on this beast.
I’m already in love with this buggy, and I haven’t even installed the electrics yet. Yes, that’s right-this is a roller! After finishing other projects on the channel, I was craving another build. So, let's dive into more about the Asuga XLR.
Unveiling the Game-Changer: Team Corally's Asuga XLR 6S Buggy
Step into the future of RC racing with Team Corally's groundbreaking Asuga XLR 6S Buggy. Standing 15% taller than conventional 1/8 buggies, this avant-garde vehicle, available in a rolling chassis format, promises a driving sensation that's second to none. Every nuance of the Asuga XLR screams perfection, designed to provide unparalleled speed, resilience, and handling dynamics. The rolling chassis design lets you outfit it with your preferred motor, ESC, steering servo, and radio. And for that personal touch? Choose from three distinctive body colors. Isn't it about time you scaled up your racing arsenal?
Dive into What Sets the Asuga XLR Apart:
A commendable 70% compatibility with Team Corally's established 1/8 scale lineup.
Robust 3mm aluminum base chassis fortified with side guards for added protection.
A formidable central chassis bracing mechanism ensuring unmatched stability.
Precision CNC-designed adjustable motor bracket coupled with a mixed metal center differential.
Beefy 16mm aluminum shocks, fine-tuned with firm springs and robust pistons.
5mm-thick aluminum shock mounts strategically placed at both ends.
Heavy-duty composite suspension arms complemented with metallic connectors, ensuring longevity. The front features an aerodynamic enhancement for optimal downforce and steering precision.
8mm-thick aluminum suspension pin brackets, firmly anchored with screws and featuring adjustable modules.
Reinforced steering blocks, featuring an innovative fastening mechanism.
Extended rear hubs built for stability.
Sturdy steering and camber links designed to last.
Trio of fluid-driven differentials with expertly crafted metal gears.
Industrial-strength S2 steel components ensuring smooth drives.
Protected ABEC-3 ball bearings for uninterrupted races.
Modern chassis protection with an integrated front bumper.
Race-ready 130mm Sprint RXA tires, optimized for 6S adrenaline rushes.
Expansive battery space, adaptable for various LiPo setups.
Surpassing its competitors in stature and performance attributes, the Asuga XLR is a revelation, embracing the tried-and-tested mechanics of Team Corally's 6S champions. Experience the thrill of superior control, acceleration bursts, head-turning speeds, and unmatched durability. It's time to redefine limits with the Asuga XLR by Team Corally!
Right, while we're on the subject of builds, I've got a hell of a list of parts to go in, some tried and tested, and some new. I’ll be using the Hobbywing Max 8 G2 Combo, including a 4278 2250 kV motor, which is a fully sensored system, DS3235 Pro Servo, and a Flysky Receiver. I’m going with some stock gearing as this motor is faster than the stock Team Corally Motor. Here are some links to Team Corally: Asuga XLR 6S Roller - Red.
I really hope you enjoy the ride we’re about to go on, as this God-tier buggy is going to be epic. To all our viewers at home, I sincerely hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed creating it for you. Your support means the world to me, whether you're a new subscriber or a longtime fan. "I don't think it's gonna land on the roof very often" - this is what I told myself while still applying gorilla tape. It did not help anyway, the body ripped almost in half :D

I know the feeling! Sometimes you think you've taken all the precautions, but things still go sideways. Gorilla tape is strong, but it has its limits. Hope you found a better solution! Stay awesome Chris :)

Pricewise yes, but they're two different products (Asuga is much more verstile due to ground clearance). The TLR's direct competitor is the XB6.

I want one but its pricey,, Roller 380 quid,,, hobby wing or alternative combo 190 quid, decent servo 40 quid, decent transmitter and receiver 60 quid,,, without a battery its the think end of 700 quid. As much as I enjoy this hobby that is just not sensible for me to spend on what is essentially a toy car. I have seen reviews of this and I know its great, however for now Im happy with the Sketer, big Rock and a couple of others. I am looking forward to seeing how you get on with it though,
@ChriswithaCrc

Hey buddy , Yeah i totally get what your saying indeed about prices , yes this way is more expensive for the end user , but if your in to something then why not hey . its all subjective at the end of the day , ive been lucky to purchase this with the help of Team corally and decided that well if im going to do this its worth having some awesome electrics in it . But im just as happy running a more budget based RC for example like the Syncro 4 or Sketer . Cant wait to show you this ripping , after its built . Dont ever think what your doing is lesser dude i mean this 1000% as long as your having fun thats all that matters . Stay awesome Chris :)

@@ChriswithaCrc Hey Chris, it is all subjective. I guess its also about ability, I really enjoy the hobby, especially as its something I share with my son. To me I think once a car is bashing at 35 to 40 mph it is way fast enough for me. The big rock at full beans is a handful. The sketer is a bit slower and in my opinion better handling car. I am 100% sure that the Asuga is better and I bet I would enjoy driving it around, but to me I have other things to spend 700 quid on.. Anyway, look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Fifteen times bigger than a one-eighth scale? Are you sure about that? Do you not mean fifteen percent bigger? Basically it is 1.15 times bigger than a 1/8th. 😉 Would I be right in thinking that maths isn't your strong point? lol It would look nice in blue - not a fan of red - but a roller this pricey is a bit over my budget but I will watch with interest anyway. EDIT: Just seen the blue RTR in ModelSport and I am seriously tempted. 😁

lol yes that’s exactly what I mean ffs 🤦‍♂️ lol 😂, well I’m glad you know what I meant buddy . Errmmmm I mean I’ll be honest with you for the quality of the buggy I don’t feel it’s that bad priced due to the build quality that’s on there . It’s at the higher end but not over priced in my opinion. Thanks for watching Nick buddy Chris 👍🤙🚀👊
