What is up dudes ? I just got back from a morning bash . 3 cars , 3 packs . Found a new spot and I liked it . A nice hilly area with hardly any acorns except where the parking is . All I kept hearing was ‼️ dropping acorns bombs and big ass walnuts and buckeyes hitting the cars parked 😂. The best part was finding a good space in the shade without the acorns and deer crap but it has the nice spongy moss and very sparse grass. Jumping down a hill seems more fun than flat jumping . Seems like they land softer except I get the occasional front end snack if I tap the brakes too hard . Usually they just land nice though without much of anything .
@ChriswithaCrcКүн бұрын
What's up, dude! Sounds like an awesome morning bash session! That new spot sounds ideal-hills, shade, and no acorn bombs... well, except for the poor cars parked nearby 😂. I totally agree, jumping downhill definitely seems to give those landings a softer touch, unless, of course, you hit the brakes mid-air and give the front end a snack! Been there, done that 🤣. Spongy moss and sparse grass make for a sweet setup, though-gotta love finding a perfect spot like that. What cars were you running?

Hi Chris,so I run a Typhon V3 which I think is the same chassis. I’ve switched to the Powerline shocks which are adjustable and the upgraded metal Arrma diffs as the rear one gave up. Had to change the servo as well as that gave up after 3 runs replaced that with a Savox 25kg servo. I’d like to change the centre drive shaft but can’t find one…. But I do love it to bits 😂😂

I put Proline powerstroke shocks in my Senton 3s....I think it's the same platform. Damn good 👍
@ChriswithaCrcКүн бұрын
Hey! Sounds like you've got your Typhon V3 dialed in! Powerline shocks and those metal diffs are solid upgrades-definitely helps with durability, especially with the rear diff giving up. The Savox 25kg servo is a beast too, great choice! As for the center drive shaft, it can be tricky to find, but sometimes checking out aftermarket brands like M2C or GPM might have something that fits. Totally get you loving that rig-once you've got it set up right, it’s hard to beat! How’s it holding up after those upgrades? Stay awesome Chris :)

The big rock is great fun, it wallowa aeound poppinh wheelies so in a decent space its great fun. It;a not in the same league as our Corally Sketer 4s that is far easier and better to drive and our Team Associated RC8 is in a different league again. Considering the Sketer can actually be bought for less nowadays I would buy that all day over the Big Rock,, Also in the Arrma 3s range our Vorteks is as fast and drive better.. despite this the Big rock is a great seod hand buy (i got mine 6 months old barely used) for 200 quid.

Wow that’s an awesome deal for a Big rock for sure . As I said there sure is better out there but for sure this one’s got history for me and still a lot of fun . I saw the bigrock in ur last video on the table and was wondering if you were gonna bring it back out. The big rock is what I learned most of my rc wrenching with. It has been upgraded to 4s long gears kraton arms, it’s basically an outcast that will run 65mph, I love it. Still makes me smile and one of my most used rc’s. I have had it for what 5years now. Big rock is such a fun truck.
@ChriswithaCrcКүн бұрын
That’s awesome, man! Sounds like your Big Rock is a beast with all those upgrades-4S, long gears, Kraton arms, and hitting 65mph?! That’s wild! It’s great to hear it’s still one of your go-to RCs after 5 years; that truck really is something special. I’ve got a ton of good memories wrenching on mine too, and I’m definitely bringing it back out for some more action! Gotta love how versatile the Big Rock is. Still putting a smile on your face after all this time says it all!

I’ve been looking at one of these vs a rival mt10 they are similar money but not sure on which is the best way to go I’m leaning towards the mt10 because of the diff and not needing to buy new batteries with the xt60 connector. What would you recommend?
@WalterGleaton6 күн бұрын
The bigrock
@SnoriRC6 күн бұрын
I find the slipper clutch a pain so the MT10 is good in that regards but I think the Arrmas are stronger (despite the MT10 hype) and are a larger, 1/10th scale and more powerful out the box. I’ve owned an MT10 and still own a Granite. Granite/Big Rock gets the nod from me.
@ChriswithaCrcКүн бұрын
Just like @SnoriRC said the MT10 has a advantage with the centre diff , but other than that the Big Rock is way more durable , if you got back on my 3s playlist there is a bigrock vs mt10 and the bigrock kept going and the mt10 snapped . people will have you believe that there tougher but in my experience there not . Just wish arrma would update the 3s range to a centre diff . Stay awesome Chris :)

Paused 2min in to post a snivelling blob .. when I came back to RC this was my first buy when it was new . According to my hobbytown guy I got the only one available for 150 miles . I absolutely adored that machine and credit RC for, to this day, helping me cope with life as it were . You name it I've done it with that rig and somehow it's still the best meanest toughest truck of it's class. It needs nearly nothing done to it but if you're as crazy as I, the recipe is spool and run mod 1 gears, M2c motor plate combo, whatever feels right with the shocks though i found heavier oil with stock is great . And a max 10 combo . 4s with Rocko is like a death row inmate turning to you and saying I'm as bad as you want me to be😮😂😂😂
@ChriswithaCrcКүн бұрын
Wow, man, what a story! Getting the only one available for 150 miles feels like destiny, right? I can totally relate to how RCs help with life-there’s something about wrenching and running that brings a kind of peace. Your Big Rock sounds like an absolute animal with that setup! Mod 1 gears, M2C motor plate, and 4S with the Max10 combo? That’s pure savagery! 😮😂 I love the "death row inmate" comparison-spot on! That truck really is built to take whatever you throw at it. Sounds like you've taken it to the next level. Definitely inspiring me to keep pushing the limits with mine! Stay awesome Chris :)
