44:38 Alex, I always leave reviews on Google maps for all the places I go to. By far the worst place I’ve been to was Amazon Dallas! You literally have to wait in line at the gate for a dock to be open!!! Then they make you drop the trailer and drive to a truck stop, and wait to be called back! Most of the time it’s till the next day! I told my dispatch to never send me there again!!!
@panderson9561

I deal with Amazon in my job. Not trucking, but in another area...I can't say what. Anyway, they are by far the worst company/entity you will ever deal with. They have become so big, and so powerful, they very much have a "You'll put up with whatever shit we give you, or you will go out of business" attitude. In 22 years of doing what I do, I've never seen any other business operate like they do.

I don't know how you OTR guys do it. I was regional line-haul / relay for a now defunct LTL carrier. I was home every other night, was in the Teamsters Union, made about .65/mile on average. The longest haul I would have to make was from the Chicago area to Nashville, TN. Slept in hotels (never had to sleep in a truck), came back the next night with a load going east / north. Never had to deal with customers, just terminal-to-terminal relay runs. Hooked a lot of trailers in rail yards, which sucked but you OTR guys are the *real* road warriors.

Well I worked for 20 years at a warehouse in South Carolina and it would get horrible. I’ve had drivers check in and we would tell them to back in across the way that there load wasn’t ready. I’d go home at 4pm and come back the next day at 8am and that same driver would still be sitting there waiting. There are times drivers would wait 18 hours or longer to get there load. I always felt so bad about it and I’d be the one they’d jump all over and yell at.

I almost went to GP a few months ago. I stayed where Im at because of a new account. Now Im running dedicated on Quad Graphics and they treat truckers like family. They let you overnight at all their facilities. They unload you whenever you show up, no bs like waiting until an appointment time the next day. They will load you as soon as possible, in appointment order, but its rarely more than an hour early because they run appointments close to production. But as soon as your load is produced, they will load you. They have you slide tandems and drop the red air line. They come lock it out, but they rarely ever take longer than an hour. Usually, the dock loader even brings your paperwork out to you. Most of their facilites have plenty of room to maneuver. Its like a trucker designed their procedures. I love that company. Colgate, Walmart, Target, and Chlorox can kiss my lilly white corn hole.

I believe that is how you slide the back tires or “tandems” back and forth

Once again Alex, you're not picking up delivery, you're picking up load.

Another driver for gptransco posted gets delay pay of $25 per hour if 2 hrs past delivery time but think it was an older vid. Even if true now that’s still a huge waste of your time plus it means aren’t driving. It’s a one off day sleep you’ll feel better tomorrow

The reason he has those type of warehouses,is because GP can only get low level customers. NOONE of standard will work with them,just like SUPER EGO.

God Alex you have one very bad day and you want to leave and blame trucking. Mate this is what it is all about . You say it has taken you two years to learn the art of reversing a trailer so who do you blame for that the industry. Know you see how easy it is to be over whelmed by people when they give you the wrong info where to go and where to park. Maybe next time alow yourself way more time to do the journey and get closer to the drop point is a great secret and not hang back and realy on every thing going well while in transit. In 5 years time you will still be learning about this industyry i can assure you of that.

Imagine working inside management and budgeting at GP's headquarters. Good thing this company is financially sound doing runs like that is losing money. No back floats.

Ugh lumper fees are the biggest scam in the industry. 260$ for unloading 12 skids fk off give me a power jack and 20$ I'll do it with a smile thinking I robbed you. What a joke
