Alex, you worry too much! :-) 36K lbs.....evenly loaded....you are gold! Over 40K...scale is a good option. And good on you for researching the required tandems location while in NY. The forward most hole is known as the 'California Hole' as we arent allowed to have tandems slid for weight distribution here. Sounds NY is similar. And keep driving like a grandpa. Its called safely! Job well done!

That’s the Loves in Waterloo NY! I stop there whenever I’m doing a trip from Manitoba to Vermont and return. Tomorrow I’m doing Manitoba to Pennsylvania to Quebec and return. A nice 6 day trip with beautiful scenery especially the Appalachians, Adirondacks and Lake Superior coastlines.

I'll challenge you on that , it was built it looks like maybe the 80's smaller equipment in the last 20 years equipment has gotten larger 40, then 45. then 50, then 53 foot trailers and now 60 footers are here, they're huge. I have to say Alex is a pro though.

Oddly, I appreciate people using Google's mapping services. I'm a street view mapper in the US, and try my best thinking of the trucking industry - I tend to peak around at the loading docks & the surrounding areas as I'm sure truckers might find it a bit useful. Cool to see it in action a bit here (although it appears that area has not been remapped since new development)!

It's not 43' from the rear. Most trailers have a mark at 43'. With a 53' trailer, you should have 10' between the center of your rear axle to the end of the trailer.

Seems the Feds requiring shippers and receivers provide toilet accommodations for drivers would be a proper and reasonable use of Fed authority to regulate interstate commerce, especially given restrictions on hour of service and impact on safety and supply chain. But sad the shippers and receiver wouldn't already do this without such a law, And of course such a statute would give the shippers and receivers a few years to comply.

When you become a truck driver you should NEVER NOT ask where the bathrooms are at when you're at a shipper/receiver. That's usually one of the main questions you ask after checking in.

GREAT MORNING Alex from INDIANA , the first time one of my trucks has been here I'm recording this so I can start doing a couple videos soon. You've go it easy with an automatic, I have my uncle's 10 speed manual. Once I start getting more haulage out here I'd be loving the revenue. I can't get revenue without having a terminal closer than N.C.. I'm here for the night and then I have to pick up in Ohio, I'm planning to find 2 more drivers wish me luck Alex I'm trying to give this 200% positive energy.  One day we might end up meeting Alex. Heck, I go west and now you go north? Be careful of New York yes it's a sh*t h@le ! Wish me luck on my new quest for more haulage routes. I'm still needing drivers, you're on my future radar maybe ? @@ALEXTHETRUCKINGGUY I bought 10 acres in lower Indiana, 12 acres in Tennessee Brian and I have one of my 2024 Next Gens I'm headed to Cotton Wood, Kansas with Brian to look at some land. If I want to make money, I have to invest in the company. Brian's uncle owns the property. I've seen pictures of it and it looks great there's a barn in case you stop over.😁 I think I could do a lot with it, 20 acres for a great price like $160k. His uncle wants to move south to Florida. I know my budget and I also have a lot of clearing to get done too. Alex, I told him when he's ready to move down there I would move him FREE with one of my trucks/trailers. Now Alex, I can't believe how much fun trucking really is, even though my trip is work related I'm loving the scenery. Within 14 months I want Tennessee and Kansas terminals ready.

You don’t need to go scale your truck out on a 36,000 pound load. Also moving your tandems back does not lower your trailer.

You are correct about not scaling a 36k load but you're incorrect about sliding tandems to raise or lower the trailer. I'm a local driver and we have some docks that require tandems to be slid all the way forward and some docks that require them slid all the way to the rear or the trailer will be too high or low to be unloaded.
