Just picked up the F22c, and I can understand why everybody is going to Aputure/Amaran. Quality, color accuracy, powerful, intuitive, you name it and they did it. It’s amazing tech for us filmmakers.

I think a Amaran 300C is a great second light especially because it’s on the cheaper end

I am more toward the amateur end and just starting out, i am thinking to pair the 600D ($1450 AUD) with the 300C ($750AUD) to get me started for doing in person interviews, mostly indoors. Would you reckon thats a good way to go? Or is it better to buy once cry once and spring for the 600C and just be done with it? (Ive currently got a 100D and a 2 x Neewer 60w RGB lights)

Could you say whether there's a hot spot on this light on the new 600c ii with its hyper reflector? One of the great things about the previous 600c was the fact it didn't have the hot spot with the hyper reflector that the other ls600 lights were notorious for, is it the same here with the new dish?

@@Alexzarfatifilms My understanding is it’s not fully RGB, but it has a really wide CCT range and G/M control. Aputure also said they will be coming out with Storm C line that will be full RGB.

One major reason why I would use this light over the nova is the different mounting options. Having a Bowens mount really allows you to have a lot more versatility with this light.
