Hello, good video you have here. I also have p0300 along with 3001 2 and 3 just like here. Just recently done a cambelt change, my mechanic states its 200 % toothed in correctly. Also it started to idle now like a big cam v8. Do you have any tips. How was the idle on this Alfa. Before the timing belt. Im also leaning into possible other failures with fuel since its a whole bank. I don't know honestly I wanna check everything before opening up the engine unnecessarily.

Hello , I would say if it’s similar symptoms & the same codes then quite possibly will be the same problem. Maybe send this video to your mechanic? Or perhaps double check the locking caps are correct. The 2.5 v6 locks are slightly different to the 3.2 v6 although they look similar for example 🤷🏻‍♂️ Good luck . Keep us updated ✔️

Well I ended up deciding to buy proper cam locks. I ordered a set from Alfaworskhop site. They are pricey but should be worth it. As well as a few other stuff I need for the job. Gonna see when my friend is free. He has a garage and a tdc gauge and torque rachet. Cam lock are silver like yours. They have A1,2,3,4 written on them. But its not hard to figure out where to put them. I was also digging up some forums and found a method of also looking at lines on the back of the camshafts. They should be aligned with the head. Thats mostly it so far now I have to wait for the locks.

And his exhaust cam was out of timing on the right head. Pretty much similar issues. But yet my mechanic would deny the timing is wrong. Maybe he just doesn't know he used the cheap locks. Ah but fine Im gonna have to get it done.

@@Che-i5n I have ordered from Alfaworskhop site. You also have it on ItaliaRicambi site I think. Be prepared to pay its around 100 to 130 euros. So its not cheap.
