WHy didn't you lock the liners down? The liners can move just a bit and tear the thin liner rubber O-ring. Before you put the engine back to gether lock the liners down with washer and pour water in the block and check for leaks between liner and block.

I did not do that step because i do not have the liner puller and hydraulic press.

@@danielang7186 I’m afraid when the heads are off and you spin the crank and pistons it might move the liner and tear the seal. That’s why people lock the liners in. Just to be sure before you put the heads and oil pan on, pour water in the block on both sides and check for leaks.
