Very slick, not only the flip up rear but the way the exhaust is done, very impressive.

I love that rear cover! Very ingenious in it's operation. Your exhaust pipe set up is stellar!

Very, very nice work.

Wow, I have to guess that you had a lenghty career in Aero Space or Engineering to hone the skills necessary to be able to craft this beautiful machine.

Thank you, but no. I drove a truck for a small manufacturing company in the little town where I lived. I just learned fabrication out of necessity. I could never afford to pay someone to build my race cars, so I had to learn. After 50 years of learning these things, it comes easy.

It seem like a beautifull kart. How did you form the body ?
@1908Rick Жыл бұрын
The nose and tail are fiberglass, made with foam molds. The rest is all aluminum, worked with an English wheel.

Hope there isn't a possibility of hitting the release with your helmet and having the back end swing up.
@1908Rick3 жыл бұрын
My head is well above that. After a year of driving it, there's been no issues.

I love the body. Did you make? Is there copies for sell.

I made it, and I guarantee you would not want to pay for the amount of hours it took to do it. Sorry.

Hi! Its awesome! But pls tell me where can i get this type of steering wheel? :O
@1908Rick2 жыл бұрын
I made it. The aluminum was cut out with a waterjet, and I used cutlery rivets to attach the mahogany rim sections. Lots of sanding and six costs of polyurethane finished it off.

What happens when you bump your head at speed? Trunk fly open?
@1908Rick2 жыл бұрын
Two things. My head is well above that area when I sit in the car. Also, the release button is recessed in a hole under a padded head rest. You literally have to push your finger into it it to release it. It would be impossible for a helmet to push the button.

@@1908Rick I suspected as much but I had the same question!
