I bought this 164 yesterday and im going through everything to bring it back to what the factory intended to do,I know what I'm getting into since I already owned a 89 164 twinspark,1991 164qv 3.5 savali,which is of a dutch tuner and a 93 164q4,this car will get all the love it deserves and as a ex alfa romeo mechanic I know what I'm doing...maybe one of these days I'll upload a video of her when she's somewhat done...it's currently at a exhaust shop for a quiet exhaust with single tip since ansa exhaust are loud and not my thing....just an update on this vehicle 🙂

Just for everyone's information, this was not a replacement for the 75 or "Milano" it was in the executive sedan class one up from the Milano, also unsure if it's your camera mic but that example doesn't sound quite right and yes, your oil pressure is very low if the sender is correct

It sounds horrible, those Busso's run really smooth when they are din decent shape, but the one in the video sounds like it's going to give out any second

Yo, you got yourself a real sleeper here. Price will go through the roof, if you treat it well. In Europe, with tan leather, in good condition, we are talking 15k. Going towards 20k!!

That's a nice example just needs some love! You have extremely low oil pressure if the gage works properly.! Take care.

there is a fix for the oil pressure sender.. simple drill a small hole in the top of the sender and voila! Worked on mine.. found that fix from the Alfa BB Forums. The sender was always failing on these models.

This one definitely doesn't sound healthy. I used to own one, but that was an europe version, which I guess had more power. Beautiful alfa sounds... Jeesh. Have that checked out if it hasn't died yet.

I found one in the chicago area for $4999 with 80k miles so he claimed. I offered him $3,500 he ain't taking less then $4,800 which is not worth it since i got some alfa romeo experts saying no more then $3,800 would be worth it.

It is fun to drive! For one reason, All cars feel very different these days. Italian cars have amazing sounding engines, and although as a sedan, the 164 has some more sound insulation than an all-out sports car, the Alfa V6 is a symphony. Also for its day, the 164 handled very well. It's the perfect car show companion because rarely will you see another one. This one is also for sale. Send me a private message if you are interested. Utter piece of garbage, always were and always will be, rust ridden, poorly built, tin can garbage hence no one in the UK bought them, sales figures speak volumes. 3L V6 and only 183 bhp??? Slow as a bus compared to its competitors, a BMW 325 (2.5) will run rings around the alfa in every way, shame really as they're aesthetically very nice cars
