Then they contracted the HVAC out to Bosch who produced stepper motor gears that stripped in the early models, and a display that faded/failed in the facelift models. Don't ask me how I know. In fact all the things that went wrong on my 164s seemed to have Bosch written on them. The Alfa bits were just fine !

I am rather curious as to how you know. Whatever NDA was available if applicable, has long since expired. I think they make replacement metal gears for the stepper motors but didn't know about the displays. Please, elaborate :)
