These cars deserve some love ;) If I may share some observations.. be careful with the copper grease, copper and aluminum don't like each other. Ceramic paste for brakes is better choice to prevent bolts seizing, but never put it on threads. Appreciate you are using a torque wrench, but using it for loosening bolts will damage it or it will be less accurate.

Hi and thanks for your videos. I just took advantage of a broken shock absorber to do the same upgrade as you. Here the H&R springs are new and I notice that the front is lowered well, but at the rear I have the impression that it is not lowered. Did you notice the same thing with your new springs?
@939driverАй бұрын
Hi! Thanks man! I do think front is a bit lower than rear. I placed an extra washer below the front top mount. It is a febi washer 3mm thickness and that way it looks really good in relation to the rear imo
@sevenseems49174 ай бұрын
H&R springs are too low on brera on the front axle. The rear is a perfect height, but the front is slammed, which doesn't look good as there is big gap difference between the front and the rear. Eibach springs with bilstein shocks look and drive much better. The front is about 2cm heigher, just enough you get a flushed stance on front and rear arches.

Very good explanation .... what tires do you recomend for the Brera ?
@939driver8 ай бұрын
Thank you I appreciate 🙏🍀 I have Pirelli P Zero Nero GT on the Brera, but on my 159 I have Pirelli Synergy tires and they are very nice. Comfort and sportiness and very silent.

Thank you for the informative instruction video. Any reason why you tighten the fork to lower arm first before the clamp of the shock (front)?
@939driver8 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! 🙏🍀 yes could be donr the other way around also, but I prefer this as the clamp of the shock has a slotted hole which can be moved a bit into position easier

Nice work man! I hope its not too hard - had the B8 in the GT, it was nor more comfort.
@939driver8 ай бұрын
Thanks man! Would have to do more runs with it but so far it felt not too hard. Definitely harder than my 159 Ti, but it suits the Brera in my opinion. It gets more of a sporty ride with these B8 shocks. 🍀👌

Bonjour 🍀🙏 Yes, I can highly recommend getting the Bilstein B8 shock absorbers of you already have lowering springs. The stock springs just can not keep up with the lowering. The stock springs are not strong enough to cover the lowering. These Bilstein B8 are perfect if you like sporty driving. They are even more comfortable than my old OE shocks because they were quite soft after 10+ years. Ciao 🙏🍀

Another great video thanks !. Ive been thinking to re-do my shocks as well. How many kilometres had you done on your old shocks before replacing ? Do you know what the normal wear cycle would be expected considering its a pretty heavy car ? I bought my Brera with 60k on the clock and it's a pretty bumpy ride on Sydneys Terrible roads. Cheers.
@939driver8 ай бұрын
Thank you man! I appreciate that 🙏🍀🇮🇹 My Brera has now 157.000 km on the odometer and the shocks were 17 years old. Not sure what the cycle would be exactly but my guess on the Brera would be around +/-15 years/150.000 km. Greetings from the Netherlands 🍀
