That exhaust sounds horrible. That noise on a long drive would make me go nuts. I have heard the sound of this car with various exhaust setups but this one does it no justice. Thanks to the team for putting the Alfa to the test. I love how it performs, and I love how it looks with that green paint job.

@@jakobdonner3014 The guys on AutoTopNL have tested many cars that have the Akrapovic exhaust and they don't sound nearly as bad as this does on the Alpha. In this I agree with you. There is something jarring about the sound of the car with this exhaust.

Pay attention when he passes 260km/h, the noise reduces a lot (the microphone changes)…In my opinion the noise you hear comes from a microphone placed outside near the exhaust…This is not the level of noise you get inside the cabin even with custom systems. Anyway love this car, it’a a masterpiece!

People hating on the sound are finally realizing that its never worth it to decat a car. They simply just dont sound better (any car in my opinion) and it really doesnt take any horsepower away. If Carbahn (Steve Dinan) can get 850whp out of an M8 on stock cats, you can keep yours (or go high flow) with your modified car. Bugatti and Koenigsegg both run cats and have 1500hp

Something is wrong. Heard multiple Qs with Akrapovic exhausts, but something is wrong on this. The base sound you can hear in the backround of the video is great, but that rattle... something seems to be loose.

On performance cars i think decat DP’s make them lose their character and the engine sound.I think the best solution is just opf delete and a smaller backbox.of course catless dp increases performance but the sound is so annoying!

Nice sound, but not for commuting or road trip. Can’t see this car making 307 top speed, at 265 it was struggling with wind already. Or it’d need az extremely long stretch of road.

I did 312 in my qv an there wasn’t any struggle till 300. Going to try a 300+ run in an original m3 or c63. They didn’t reach it. BMW claim that the m2 c with driver package are limited to 280. But the fastet run I had was 278 after 10km (feeling). And 278 are perhaps 265 gps measured 🤷‍♂️

I actually expected the auto to be a lot more sluggish. I would still choose the manual though, which is why I don't own one of these since the manual isn't available in the USA (because everyone here is lazy and fat). Not hugely impressed with the sound, but it's better than nothing!
