The gift from my mother for my stepfather. Imported from Swisszerland, replace front white lights for yellow because we living in France. I remember the particular odor, the woody steering wheel...and the sound of engine. 5speed (my Scirocco had only 4!) Sporty ergonomy...a real Alfa. I was sleeping in back when two tires exploded (retreads, poor quality) and as my stepfather had to drive at his cruising speed (never less than 150km / h: 1500km in 12 hours, including the stop cappuchino and pee) I thought that our last time was came. Thank you to the Madonna. In the middle of summer, the leatherette seats and the heat released by the transmission tunnel, the temperature was rarely below 40 ° C

My first car was a homologation special - a 1969 Gulia Super 1750 which I bought in 1974. It was one of 200 built for production car racing here in South Africa. It was a very good 1st car as it was very tough and stood up to my abuse very well. I drove it sideways all the time - to the extent that the tires only lasted 5000 km .

Alfa Romeo UK brought a classic TI Super to the Goodwood FOS when the new Giulia QV debuted. One day, they foolishly left the door unlocked and I saw muddy footprints on the floor mat, which was my invitation to sit inside. What a wonderful experience! The large but skinny wheel and gear lever, the soft seat, it just put a smile on my face immediately. Just a shame I couldn't drive it. Lovely cars.

Hello Matteo, thank you again for this great Video. I wrote it in the comments of the Alfa 75 Allestimento Speciale Numerato Video - You make my feeling of owning an Alfa again, stronger with every Video, because you describe the passion of the Alfa´s (and of the most italian cars) so well. After watching the Alfa 75 Video, i began to look for a car - and last week i found and finally bought an italian car, i thank you so much for your "help" ;-). It isn´t an Alfa, but a quite rare car in Germany - a 1999 Lancia Y (840) with a 1.2 16V Engine, that´s good for 86 "cavalli". The car isn´t in perfect shape, it costs only 330 Euro, but the substance is quite good. I want to set it in better shape, step by step, and "safe" it. Thank you Matteo for your help and inspiration

One of the few rarities you have covered that I have actually seen on the metal. At the time it's rarity was quite unknown to me. It must have been in the mid-80s, before the classic car "boom". Only ones ever made of the 1600 TI Super were Politoys Italy long ago, 1960s, and the now defunct Italian company Progetto K, both in 1/43rd. Politoys chose random colors for theirs :) but it is the best. Opening doors, engine and trunk. The Politoys in mint condition, $100 to $200. No 1/18th were ever made to my knowledge. Try eBay or a toy auction for both. Too bad Matteo you aren't into models, they have long been an Italian specialty. Mercury Toys were one of the first, they began making Fiat parts in the 1930s and branched out into toys. Politoys/Polistil are another favorite of mine. Some of the toys are actually harder to find in mint condition with boxes than the actual cars themselves. But much cheaper :)
