Hello Tony, We are all lucky that you have a Giulietta. I find it impressive how calmly and precisely you do the work and also describe everything for us with such understanding. I have become a big fan of yours and admire your profound knowledge. 👍💪 Thank you very much e tanti saluti.🙋♂️

I've used the reinforced part of the chassis rail you mentioned at 3:00. Used it more than 20 times in a Fiat Bravo i previously owned, and since the floor board is the same i've used it on the G as well. A microfiber clotch on top of a wood block to distribute the jacks force and it's still like brand new. The jack i've centered between the rubber plug on the front and where the reinforcement ends in the rear. You do need a low profile jack to fit under there but i've found that's the best place to lift the car.

I need to do this with my Alfa Mito for replacing a front fog light bulb. But I’m a little bit scared because I don’t know if I’m doing well 😅

Loving to see your videos just to learn more about the Giulietta and admire your car. I will be going tomorrow to a potential buy of a Giulietta, so I'm quite excited! Just a little nervous because the car has 96k miles. But it seems to be a very good shape. Keep up with the content!
@vialettotony3 жыл бұрын
Hi Delanno. Thank you for the kind comment. Good luck with the car. If it’s been maintained well, then the mileage shouldn’t be a problem. There are lots of giuliettas with well over 100k miles going strong. Maybe check to see if the cam belt has been changed though. Should have been done around 60k miles. Also check if the stop/start is working. If it isn’t, it could be something simple but worth checking. Check for oil around the MAF too. Easy to clean, but you can use it to haggle the price. I cover this in one of the videos. All the best.

@@vialettotony wow, great tips mate! I will keep all that in mind. I know that the cambelt has been changed although they didn't change the sparkplugs recently, so I was actually asking them to do it, but don't believe that they bothered. I will have a look on the other stuff you mentioned. Kind regards,

@@delannodelima9720 another really simple check is the rear wiper. They tend to have a mind of their own. Turn it on and off, and see if it stops okay and in the right position. If not, it could point towards wiring loom (another video I have ). Again, use it to your advantage for haggling the price if it’s a problem. Cheers and good luck.

Thank you for video, have struggled to find information on previous cars on where to lift to use a trolley jack so this is much appreciated!

Je cherche la dépose de l' alternateur sur Giulietta. Il faudrait vidanger le liquide de refroidissement pour y accéder? Cela paraît extraordinaire?

is there a video on repairing the coating that was took of by previous jacking? Any tips on that if there isn't any video?

Not one that I’ve made unfortunately. Some lanoguard or something would be a good solution likely. All the best 👍

Hi Tony, thanks for that guide. Is there somewhere in the rear middle of the car that’s a safe jacking point, rather than having to lift one corner at a time? I want to do an oil & filter change, with the front up on ramps, but I don’t like the idea of lifting up one side of the rear at a time to get stands underneath
@vialettotony5 ай бұрын
Hi. The rear sub frame where all the suspension arms mount to may be strong enough, and I’m sure I have lifted mine there before, but to be safe do one side at a time or reverse it up on to a kerb or some bricks if you need some extra height. All the best 👍

Great stuff as usual Tony, could you make a vid of how to remove the outside B pillars? mine are knackered and I'm crap at this stuff lol
@vialettotony2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin. Thanks. I’ve been looking at these for a while but can only seem to find they’re crimped on or some sort of adhesive has been used. I’ll keep going and let you know if I work anything out for clarity. All the best 👍

Are you going to be doing any work to the EGR valve i.e fitting a blanking plate or a complete removal ? also, yet another great video ! I was looking a jacks last week haha.
@vialettotony3 жыл бұрын
Hi kuba. I do have work planned to clean the EGR in the future, but not removal of it. Hopefully when I make the video I’ll be able to show all the fixings and show where blanking plates would go etc. if you were removing it. Thanks for watching and glad you like the new video. Next one comes out Friday and then another next Tuesday. Thanks again, all the best.

Great video pal. Something to consider, since you buy and flip a few cars, you may want to invest in the Halfords 2 Tonne trolley jack. Makes lifting so much better and quicker which in affect saves.money. I put off bying a better jack for years due to price, but I wasted so much time of my life in not doing it earlier. Trust me you will thank me later. If you want it cheaper happy to let you use my Halfords trade 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼.

Thanks. My current 3 Tonne lift does the job pretty well and is good for the Discovery too, as 2 Tonne’s not enough for that 😉 Have a great day. All the best 👍

@vialettotony3 жыл бұрын
Hi Yosef. Sounds like you’ll need to plug a diagnostic tool in and read the codes before doing anything else. There are so many sensors on each of those systems and the fault could be generated from any one of them. Thanks for watching. Really appreciate it.
