Finally got around to ordering the part and doing the job. With the aid of your video and a ratchet spanner, all done in 40 mins and just took the lamp out and the 2 rear fir tree clips at the back of the headlining to gain access. Having a head torch to have 2 hands free is useful and another thing I did was disconnect the wire and connect the new unit through the lamp aperture to check the radio signal to make sure it was the problem before doing the unbolting bit. Changed the aerial base on my 2010 Cloverleaf: The clips behind the side panel were completely different to the ones on this video, but the screws were the same and this dismantling procedure worked. The new aerial coax connector was different to the original, but plugged in without any problem. I used a bead of RTV sealant under the edge of the new aerial base because the rubber fin on the old one had gone rigid and must have let water in as there was quite a lot of corrosion. The radio now works again after 6 or 7 years with no signal!

@ 2:05 You *can* get the frame off the rear seat roof light. See the slot? Get a screwdriver, spatula or other thin blade in there and push down to force the clamp over it, then it'll come away from the interior lining. I guarantee you it'll clip back over easily later.

My antena is full of bites thanks to the stray cats that we are feeding. That's really nice to know how I could change that in the future. Btw I managed to solve the rattling issue with my passenger door panel. I was missing 4 clips and one of them was broken. But after replacing the missing one now my G is noiseless

@@jozefbeno7650 you can easily find them in AliExpress , ebay or Amazon. I personally bought them from AliExpress and got them after 2,5 months, but anyway now I have plenty of clips to replace any old ones in poor shape

@@jozefbeno7650 look when I was missing those 4 clips certainly there was an annoying rattling even when I was cruising and has to cover it up with my radio. But after installing the missing clips the door panel is firm and there's no rattling at all, not even from the speaker side

Just removed my dab ariel and refitted by simply removing the rear courtesy light ..10mm spanner to undo the clamp that holds it in place.

Yes, the DAB bases have 10mm bolt head and a metal clamp setup, whereas the standard FM aerial will require a 22mm flexible ratchet spanner to undo the nut through the rear interior light.

That's a lot of work.. sadly I lost my FM radio signal.. again.. 😢 I replaced the aerial about 5 years ago but for some reason it's losing signal again.

Does your have a blue and me system My iPhone won’t connect or charge from the usb in the glovebox but stick a normal usb with mp3 songs on it and it works no problem do u use the USB port with phone or usb ?

Hi Rob. Yes, the standard set up, exactly the same as yours by the sounds of it. I understand that certain models, particularly the early models are only able to read specific formats. The USB connection is very limited and doesn't have power out, hence the lack of charging ability or means of reading from a 3rd party device. Annoying as hell, and a lesson i think Alfa learned to improve on very quickly. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it.

hi tony, I have smudges on my dials (rpm, speed, temp...) that seem to be from the inside and cant be cleaned. You can do a video showing how to remove the plastic cover from the dials (if it's possible) without taking the whole dashboard apart? If you have an email I can maybe send you a video of that.

Hi Richard… not sure I fully understand the question? Assuming you need to change the roof aerial, wear whatever clothes your comfortable in and give yourself an hour maybe 2, once everything is tidied up. Hope that helps. All the best 👍
