Please remember that the size of the rims has a great effect on the feel of the "chassis" of a car. I found that 18" works great on the Citroen DS4 but 19" is something to avoid. 17" could be even better?

That would have been true if you'd said that 30 years ago. I've got a list of how reliable every well-known brand is. They've measured how many percent of all their cars which are 3-8 years old broke down in 1 year: all Japanese cars indeed are at 1 (10%-25%), but Citroen and Peugeot are the most reliable European cars apart from Skoda, of which 31% broke down (Peugeot and Citroen had 35% and 32%, respectively). Volkswagen, for example had 39%, while Audi had 42%, BMW 41% and Mercedes 45%.

I'm italian but i definitely prefer the DS4; the giulietta is a bit sportier but for me overall the citroen is a better car!

so hard to choose! I own a DS3 and don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT. But I think the giulietta has the edge over the DS4. As I think it's more involving and just a better car as a whole. Although the DS4 does look better. I would still take the alfa.

GM must have something good to be the second largest manufacturer in the world. I think PSA would take a similar position like Opel, being an european subsidiary of GM what will give PSA access to more markets, including USA. What GM offers than PSA don't, better service, cheaper replacement parts, in general more raliability, more financial options, more competitive prices.

Yes a respectable history but not comparable to Italian, German and English tradition. Only exception maybe is Bugatti in the 30s, which was anyway a company founded by an Italian in Germay which became France after WWI an today it is owned by VW. So not much of french heritage there.

Customers have the last word, and french and italian cars have a bad reputation. In fact it's not only the quality and reliability what counts, the after sale service, cost of replacement parts, financial options these are also weaknesses of these cars.

Yeah, I know the engine, it's great. But I was just reading out the list, without really thinking of that engine. It's not that I don't like Alfas, anyway. They're great, and I completely agree with what some people say: 'You can't be a true petrolhead if you have never owned an Alfa Romeo.' They are great, but, according to that list, not very reliable.

Avez vous entendu parler du rapport valeur prix?, par example, si on achete un Fiat line completement equipée, le prix est 35% inferieure a celui d'une Jetta equipée, par contre, la renault Fluence, avec presque le meme prix de la voiture allemande, mais avec la qualité de la vouiture italienne, c'est por ça que Je dis que l'industrie italienne offre des produits avec une meilleur competitivité car ils n'ont pas la meme qualité d'une voitures allemande mais le prix est tres inferieure.

J'aime bien la France, son gastronomie, sa culture, sa langue, ses filles, mais il faut reconnaitre chaque un ses vertus et ses defauts mais c'est pas juste de, PARFOIS, vendre la technologie française a prix d'or sans l'etre. I have the top of the range. It's a lot better than the normal Alfa. DNA, 260 km top speed, 0-100 km 4-5 seconds, really responsive and beats both of these.

Sur Nissan et Renault, c'est vrais qu'il y a une alliance entre les deux societes, mais ça ne veut pas dire qu'ils utilisent la meme technologie car leur moteurs sont differents, c'est pas la meme chose un Maxima qu'un Safrane pour donner un example, ni un Sentra qu'un Fluence meme s'ils partagent quelques elements. Et alors pourquoi pas vendre Renault s'ils ont la meme qualité qu'un Nissan?

all cars have theyr strengths and weaknesses! If a japanese or german car breack down and they do ALOT, you are fried, you better sell that car. VW had and still haves massive problems with theyr TSI engines with bad engeneered timing chains. Japanesa cars are designed with calculated lifespan; after 12 years the rust on theyr weldspots and it's game over! Italian cars have the best engines with new tecnology aswell. and they are rust proof plus you get an unseen design

i can't wait for the giulietta to come over to the US because I've had 3 GTI's and i'm bored out of my mind wanting a new euro hatchback that we can get. the DS3 racing would be awesome and the arbath is fun but i'm a 6'2" 225lbs soldier and could barely fit myself into the car much less all of my gear when going to work. i like the mazdaspeed 3 but it lacks a style that the alfa will bring.americans would love to have a lot of the cars you guys get over there. tired of the cager SUV soccer moms

Pas mal la voiture electrique, mais encore eloigne par prestige d'un Ferrari. Selon Carlos Ghosn, il estime que Renault pourrait disparaître, et alors ou est la competitivité des voitures françaises?, Bugatti a eté acheté par les allemands donc, elle n'est pas vraiment une voiture français comme c'est le meme cas chez Seat en espagne.

C'est pas moi qui l'a dit, selon une enquete fait en France, pour les français, la fiabilité des voitures français est tres mauvaise, et pas seulement en France, dans le monde entier, la qualité des voitures japonaise et allemandes est la meilleure, sinon, pourquoi il n'y a pas des voitures françaises aux Etats Unis?, meme l'industie italienne offre des voitures comme Ferrari, Maseratti, Alfa, Fiat, en France Il n'y a que PSA et Renault. Non pas de tout, Je ne suis pas contre l'industrie française, le problem avec les voitures françaises c'est qu'ils veulent les vendre comme s'ils etaient des voitures d'une qualité superior mais elles ne le sont pas en realité alors, il faut etre honnete et les vendre a prix juste. C'est le meme cas de Fiat, on sais quand on achete un Fiat qu'il n'aura la meme qualité d'une voiture allemande, mais le prix n'est pas comparable avec volkswagen.

Déjà, on en vend des voitures aux États-Unis, des Renault puisque que Nissan est implanté sur ce marché. Mais pas seulement, la Bugatti Veyron qui est française vu que l'assemblage se trouve en France est vendu aux Etats-Unis. Sinon, nos voitures sont aussi fiable, sinon plus que les Allemandes style VolksWagen. (ne parlons pas des preniums) Et c'est surement pas avec des médias pourris qui descendent gratuitement nos voitures que les esprits vont changer. Faites donc un tour chez Exagon Motors

De DS4 hadden ze als hatchback op de markt moeten zetten. Hij is prachtig, maar hij staat veel te hoog op z'n poten. Vind de DS4 ook een veel mooiere auto dan de Giulietta

the 1.9 TD engines in alfa are the most reliable on the market. You still see alfa 155 and 147 running around . Personally the 147 was better as the sedan 155 . the only problem with alfa is the Mito's rear suspension it's hard and dry. The Giuleitta is better trough, with mo real weak spots

Peugeot and Citroen are almost in bankruptcy, the french government is supporting them, the CEO of Renault just declared that the company could dissapear on its current status, french cars are one of the worst evaluated by worldwide consumers. I like a lot France, but not its cars, they're just poor quality, reliability made. On the other hand, I'm not a big fan neither of italian cars, but at least, they use to be more stylish and eye attractive and with Marchionne, FIAT has improved a lot.

Et alors si la qualité des voitures français est si bonne, pourquoi pas vendre Renault, Peugeot ou Citroen aux Etats Unis? quand on voit une voiture française dans le marché plus importante du monde et une societé française dans les premieres places du nombre de voitures vendues, J'y croirait. Les voitures françaises très mal vues par les étrangers Si ça tombe en panne, c’est normal c’est français!
