The new CEO has a good portfolio to work with, let's hope he is given full autonomy and is ambitious, both brands Alfa Romeo and Maserati deserve success. Please develop the brands from their heritage, forget the electric and the gizmos which other brands are famous for. It is easy to get anyway, every car maker has the same stuff probably built by a manufacturer like Magna Steyr in Austria. Mission number 1 is to make the vehicles enjoyable driver's car with the recognizable brand's characteristic.

Ron, I've been an Alfa aficionado since the mid-60's (I'm 77). I fear Alfa is heading for extinction in the US and possibly the world. I bought the last 105 series 2000 GTV sold in Arizona in January 1976, yes it was a 1974 "leftover". I owned that car 'till 2016 when a health issue forced me to sell it. It had 36,133 miles on it. It was perfect! One of the biggest issues impeding the success of Alfa in the US is the dealers. A good part of Alfa's reliability, or lack thereof is poor dealer quality. It's, I believe, the difference between a good reliable car and a troublesome one is the quality of the service it receives. Here's hoping! Ron, your enthusiasm is real and inspiring! Keep the faith, brother!

Lets see what he can do. I think many important decisions have already been made concerning the next generation of Giulia and Stelvio. He should focus on the brands identities to come up with suitable models to avoid getting lost in the soup of anonymous electrified cars out there.

I wish the best for Mr. Ficili. He has a tough row to hoe; Alfa’s product line is not strong and it will take capital and aggressive product development to save Alfa Romeo.

He's got a very tough job indeed! Not just on the Alfa side but on Maserati's side as well.

I hope it will bring AR out of its dark ages. We need more sporty models, not exactly crossovers for moms.

I think haveing a co CEO makes synergistic sense. Look at what Carlos Ghosn did for Nissan-Renault. My take is that this uplifts the Alfa Romeo brand even more by associating with Maserati and hopefully Alfa's improved reliability in recent years rubs off on Maserati as a brand.......
