Hi Marcus! Great thanks for Nice and helpfull videos. One comment though, I think the reason for the original logo being “hooked” into the airbag, is for it not flying away and hurting you in the event of an accident. I think the safest way would be to leave the original logo as is, and if you want to change the logo, just place the new one on top of it. In this way you will have much bigger area for the adhesive to stick to. And most propably less risk of injury. Chears! Vasilios.

I just wanted to take it off and have a look, but yeah playing it safe and doing it that way won't hurt If I have a hard enough impact to set the airbags off, I'm mot bothered about a 40mm disc hitting me on forehead 😂 Thanks though, appreciate the feedback

I mean it's hard for me to imagine that it would look good that way, and I'd question the stickiness as well. Because the front of the badge is convex and back of the new badge is flat so I think they would stick together in the middle point while keeping a gap around the outside.

@@marcus_motors_ hi Marcus, no I meant with the badge stacking method that Vasilios kindly suggested! Yours looks good indeed and good to know it's sticking, however even though you made some light of it, it would concern me slightly about the chance of a 40mm piece of aluminium potentially shot at my face at high speed in case of Airbag deployment. Thank you for the video and for the replies as I learned a lot from it. Really want to change my steering wheel badge because it's the last place in my Giu still with the old one :-)

I've got you! Yeah the foam if I remember correctly was quite dense too, gave it a bit more contact. Yes of course, drive safe then 😂 well I took one for the team so people can have a look before tackling it themselves haha I like the monochrome look, imo the bronze is very dated! Thanks for the feedback though, priorities have been elsewhere lately but hopefully get back into the swing of doing more soon 👍

just replaced mine, I kinda struggled removing the old badge but now I'm happy with the result (put the black & silver one). Just be careful guys with the heat gun. Thanks for the tutorial anyway!

Nice! Only needs a bit of heat, some vinyl wraps are post heated to over 100°C and 300°C is the average automotive paint will start failing, don't panic with it

Just wondering if it is necessary to switch off airbags or disconnect battery for that replacement? I mean that I am not worried about wheels, rear/front emblem, but the steering wheel one makes me think that it may be dangerous to mess with the air bag :D

Yeah anything with the air bag mate, diconnect the battery and give it time to completely lose the charge in the system. I was happy doing mine without disconnecting it, as I've put more pressure on the airbag when I've pressed the horn compared to changing the badge 😂

Crash sensors are not on the steering wheel... You bang the airbag more aggressively when honking to brainless cyclists... Heat is not an issue too.

1 pas besoin de sèche cheveux vue que pas de colle lol 2 ta pas couper le rond aux centre et le bord de clips donc ton nouveau logo est pas coller bien sur toute la surface et finira par tomber 3 ton outils est pas bon il faut un tourne vice plat crochu et faire simplement levier a côté des emplacements clips donc a 10h 14h 18h juste a côté :) et ainsi gain de temps etc... et j'ai pas abîmé le logo original :)

Salut, je ne savais pas qu'il n'y avait pas de colle jusqu'à ce que je l'enlève. Le mien est allumé depuis plus d'un an et il va bien

Salut, je comprends maintenant. Je l'ai juste fait au fur et à mesure, mais les gens peuvent le voir avant de l'essayer eux-mêmes. si je le faisais à nouveau, je suivrais probablement le même chemin et poncerais les onglets. tu as opté pour quel badge de couleur ? Merci

Adhesive backed aluminium, felt the se thickness as original. Just adhesive instead of the bent hooks

Other than the red, I'm changing what I o monochrome. So the 2 shades of blue, green, red and brass just clashed imo Each to their own
