Hello guys! A very common problem in current vehicles, including our Alfa Romeo MiTo! As with an injector, a turbo or a control unit, repairs to electronic power steering units must be carried out by specialists. Hi again. Im writing because i was in autobahn and while driving the steering wheel stopped working. ( on the dashboard i had the steering in red but when i turned off the car this icon dissappeared, now i dont have any lights anymore in the dashboard) fortunately, i managed to turn off the car and when i turned on the problem dissappeared. I fear that i have the same problem , i will go to a local garage on Saturday. But if i purchase a used steering coloumn how probably it might be that this problem might still occur in the future? So my question is: im gonna buy a used coloumn but how can I avoid purchasing a bad one? Thank you so much!!

Hello. Did a few before, yes. Normally is an integrated sensor. The yaw sensor if I'm correct.

No I meant someone else was in there before you, because the screws are mixed and the plastic broken. A professional like you knows where all the screw go😊. Yaw sensor should be located under the seat of passenger or driver. @@alfaromeonoproblem

@@BK-it6te I think there is a sensor in the top window rubber seal, and when glass presses on it, it tells the motor to stop. Maybe the sensor or the wire for it is broken. What do you mean by N/S?
