I love Alfas, they’re such a flamboyant car and so aesthetically pleasing 😍 I owned a 156 face lift, 2.4 JTDm 5 cylinder diesel, silver with red leather, the dash, the seats, the whole thing made me smile. I regret selling it

Brought a 166 in excellent condition just two months ago. If you liked the 156, check the 166. All the engines are great but it's a cheaper entry to the busso in general if you're searching to own one at least once. And still pretty affordable to run.

My bro had a 156 TI, that’s how I ended up with y 156, it was a Veloce so had the side skirts, bigger wheels etc. My bro then sold his 156 for a 159, 2.4 JTD 200 My 156 was the 156 facelift with the JTD 175 I honestly loved it. You wouldn’t believe it but I saw it in a town a couple of years ago I used to deliver around 📦 I heard it first. It was battered and abused by the guy that owned it, not the guy I’d sold it to he’d sold it on

@@Dan23_7 No, I got a the 155hp TwinSpark unit, but it's really enjoyable. It is drivable easily on low RPMs like the 2,5L v6 I tested earlier, and got the similar really pleasant NA behavior you expect from a gasoline Alfa at high RPMs. It just lacks the legendary Busso sounds and a bit of power but nothing embarrassing. And honestly it still sounds great. A real pleasure to sit in every morning, and to drive, got the Momo beige leather interior and the wooden steering wheel

I was thinking that you meant that red Toyota you were just passing, I was just "woooot???" until you said it wants to go fast, then I thought "oooooh, that's ok now" :DD Love those new Alfas, they're much underappreciated but will probably keep the quite good high price for resale like most great Alfas did, people didn't realize until it was too late and then everyone wanted it, tnx god we're at the border with Italy so we were scouting all over and importing those... I only wish Lancia would pick again, feel sad for two old companies really successful in racing and not doing OK in modern era... They deserve better...

Alfa is such a cool brand. Would you suggest an alfa romeo for a first car? Was thinkin about the 156 or 159. They're going for around 2000 - 6000€ (used ofc) in average / good condition

yo i bought a 159 for my first car and its amazing, sure it has its flaws and stuff but overall i recommend it a lot. i suggest the 1.8 mpi version or the 1.75 tbi one because the 1.9, 2.2 and 2.3 jts tend to break a lot (unless you wanna go for a diesel, they seem to be fine). the fuel efficiency is shit tho aint gonna lie. i bought my 1.8 mpi with around 80k miles on it and only things i had to fix so far were basic maintenance issues.
