Thanks for the nice teardown video. Is it possible to see internals of the sensor somehow? Like is it wound on some standard ferrite core or is it from custom stamped iron lamination?

i initially had the idea i was going to open one of the sensors, however my luck is the unit works so super cool, so i will not open the sensor anyway, since it will most likely means the end of that sensor, i love to keep really cool parts and equipment for my futher lab experiments, but i am sure it is most likely made very close to the picture at 8:07 and 9:06

I wonder if it can be used as a seismometer without the dampening. As it reacts to horizontal acceleration as well. But I guess Denmark is a less active region…

YES i think that could work, but during my long life i only woke up once from a small earthquake, it also made glass in cupboards move so much it made a sound, but it was only once !! i have experienced a few more , longer and more powerfull, on vacations more active locations.
