Alfie shows great potential there for being a very obedient dog. He thinks he's not allowed outside of the room and does his best to follow that rule already.

Exxxx-actly! The brown puppy is clearly nervous & guarded thinking 'oooh nooo, I'm not coming out there, I remember what happened the last time' LOL...it probably has NOT been allowed in the other territory bcuz of a puppy gate OR there are larger dogs alpha dogs in that house. The puppy is smart enough to stay put and protect itself...but it's really kinda sad.
