Getting sad from having no sunlight is actually a really normal thing, that's why depression is more prevalent in the winter months! :) I'm totally the same, I'm so much happier when the sun is out.

Your feelings about the light and the brightness and stuff is totally a real thing! (Not saying this totally applies to you but) a lot of times in the winter, because it gets darker sooner and it's just generally more dim outside, your body doesn't absorb as much vitamin D and your mood fluctuates and can kind of "go down" I guess. Like when someone gets more depressed in the fall/winter, they are typically diagnosed with seasonal affective disorder

Alfie, I've been into bodybuilding and fitness for like 2 years now. To bulk up you just have to be in a caloric surplus. Foods such as, eggs, rice, pasta, lean meats, nuts (almonds and cashew), oatmeal, greek yoghurt, milk, avocado, and peanut butter. Are all rich in calories, protein, fat and carbs. Its good to also have weight gain protein shakes, along with the powder you want to add milk with maybe ice-cream or peanut butt, or banana to stock it up a bit more. Have 2 of these a day, one pre workout, one post. There's also an app called "myfitnesspal" this app allows you to scan food in via barcode, and it will advise you on the macros you should be eating to reach your goal weight, and frequency of that weight gain. In terms of working out compound exercises (ones that use multiple muscles in your body at once) are good exercises to help you gain quality muscle mass. These could be deadlift, squat and bench press (as of the main ones). However, all it takes is persistence, you got to be eating over your surplus everyday or most days, along with working out maybe 4 days a week minimum. Over the course of this pattern for a good 2-3 months, you will see a lot of progress. Really its just getting the dedication to do it, once you get progress physically you can't stop. Don't worry about eating bad food occasionally, in the end it will help you bulk up. Keep high on water intake your muscles use up a lot of water for cell respiration, and during protein synthesis and many other processes so water intake is pretty key. Try to go for at-least 3 liters a day.

It might also be useful to do some mindfulness before you sleep, maybe look it up on KZbin and try a few different exercises till you find something that works.
