$15.00 Bucks for a Pontoon Floor ! Grandpa Boat Restoration (Grandpa Series)

It was much easier to remove the pontoons to polish. Today we look for a floor and found a great option for $15.00. The new Console and the new refrigerater are looking rather sweet on the pontoon also.

That is going to be a slip-n-fall floor! Use a marine floor, OR Astroturf, OR indoor/outdoor carpet, OR just paint the floor with a dusting of sand while sticky. Ask Fishman Joe about slippery decks... That's one place you don't want to scrimp on...

Alfred did one (1) 24' Suntracker party Barge. Had in my shop for over two years. Will NEVER EVER do another pontoon boat. Unbelievable amount of work. From carpet removal to hand sanding corrosion from the fencing frame work. Never mind the countless hours on the tubes. UGH !!

Alfred..if you're really going offshore with it at least add a third toon. And yeah maybe do some antiskid on the deck. Are you going to replace the aluminum side walls? I am thinking of doing it.

Good idea for the flooring. Don't always have to buy "marine" grade for some stuff. By the way, I finally finished the sunk Verado series. Awesome. But where'd the motor end up? Maybe I missed something!

Seems like a better option would be waterproof flooring but that’s going to get a nick in it right away and we all know what happens next. Another refinish. Best option is to bear the brunt of a quality deck now that will probably last longer than you have the boat. But he already knows that

vinyl get's slippery when wet. That grass-like-looking carpet would have been a better choice. gives some more grip to the deck.

You can't beat the price, but as a flooring salesman, I would never recommend that cheap crap on a pontoon. You should have spent the money on some quality inlaid vinyl where the pattern goes all the way through the sheet. If you nick it, the pattern will still be there,and the quality of the vinyl is much more stout. That thin stuff you bought won't last a year as it's easily ripped, or torn. Not sure what you're going for here, but you get what you pay for, and if cheap is the name of your game on this pontoon, by all means install that thin, easily torn crap! 😁👍😎✌🗽
