I played this at my college holiday concert yesterday and I nailed that euphonium solo and tbh when I played it, it was probably the best I ever played it even though I was so shaking before I started playing

I played this about a year or two ago. I was 1st clarinet. Yay! It was nerve wracking for the concert because I was so afraid I would play a wrong note. XD

Oh boy. I dont have to worry about solos because no one likes the Tubas, but I bet it's still nerve-wracking nonetheless. I hope u did good.

Holst is one of my favourite modern composers. Instead of going along with his contemporaries and predecessors down the atonal or simply excessively impressionist path, he literally wrote religious music.
@pikachuchujelly7628
@pikachuchujelly7628 7 ай бұрын
Britain somehow managed to mostly avoid the atonal craze that infected Europe and America in the early 20th century. Hence, we still have great music of that period from Holst, Vaughan Williams, Grainger, Elgar, Walton, and many others.
