One of my most favorite scenes on pushing daisies
Olive: Can I ask you a question? If you loved me.
Alfredo: Yes?
Olive: And we could never, ever, ever touch. Wouldnt you eventually get over it and move on letting someone else have the slightest hope that you might move on to them?
Alfredo: If I loved you?
Olive: Yeah.
Alfredo: Then I would love you in any way I could. And if we could not touch, then I would draw strength from your beauty. And if I went blind, then I would fill my soul with the sound of your voice and the contents of your thoughts until the last spark of my love for you lit the shabby darkness of my dying mind.
Olive: Eh, forget it

This is so incredibly romantic and Olive didn’t even notice. I will always be sad that Alfredo and Olive never got the romance they deserved.

Every single one of you have commented on this scene say the same thing and I will agree I love it when hundred percent it makes me want to fall in love in love all over again but it's just beautiful and I wish I could speak like this on a regular basis like this show

AH, I am SO angry Alfredo never got a chance to come back! I love Randy Mann but Olive and Fredo belong together. When I first saw this scene I half expected them to break out into "If I Loved You" from Carousel.

I'm so angry they never got to sing together either!...and yes, I realize I'm replying to a comment 10 years later, but I still miss this show! ;)

Omg, me too. This dialogue is great. You can tell a real writer wrote it.
