Yeah I had to completely different view on that. I economy picked because I thought it was pointless to do the extra work for alternate picking, but alternate picking allows me to easily accent certain notes to keep track of where I'm at. It has a different attack etc but I am mainly in economy. Picker

Argh yes, keeping time with economy picking is a totally different game. It feels more to do with the shape or identity of whatever the economy picking pattern happens to be at that moment. Each economy picking pattern has a particular and unique "flow" to it

About point #2, it actually kind of overwritten a lot of things for me, anytime i can use Eco pick i always do. For some reason i want to be as efficient as i can, or, as little movement as possible, eco picking changed the way ive been approaching so many things on the guitar.

You can certainly have a favorite, but if you practice both techniques, you'll be able to do both just fine. There's no cross-contamination, is what I meant

I have question regarding the 1 0n 1 session. Does it happen on a weekly basis and roughly how long goes the session itself?

Hello! Unlike weekly guitar lessons, in person or webcam (which is mostly a scam), my 1-on-1 coaching is available to you whenever you need me. It works like this: - The preliminary stage where we list and assess your weaknesses and goals - The video submission stage where you send very short demos of what I need to see - The troubleshooting stage where I create fixes, custom exercises, and a practice plan for you - The ongoing coaching begins... You can now contact me whenever you want to for advice, technique feedback, and new exercises when you need them. This is all done through discord private messaging. It is a modern, improved, and effective way of coaching which actually works =)

That sounds great. Now i only have 3 questions left. 1. Regarding the videosubmission test, am i showing what i can play/ how i play so far or will you tell me, what i need to show you exactly? 2. Im lving 10 time zones away from your rough location (new zealand), which means that if we do a 1-on-1 live session, it will (proablably) have to be around morning/evening time. 3. And most importantly i currently play acoustic instead of electric. Even though i plan on getting myself an electric guitar this year (fall). Does this pose some sort of roadblock for me or you?

I appreciate how thorough you are! I will request to see very specific things which will be entirely dependent on the initial assessment (and will typically be things you can't do, as that's all that matters). Time zones don't matter as video submissions and chat don't necessarily need us to both be online at the same time. Acoustic is no problem when it comes to technique, as it's the same for both instruments, but string muting is a huge part of electric guitar. Players who move from acoustic to electric always find this to be quite a shock! But ultimately, that can be handled when it arises

I have no clue what you mean by string muting, but the end is to far apart from the hole to perform palm muting. Therefore thats impossible. I guess i see you soon then. The next week or the week after the next cuz uni. :)

Sounds perfect to me =) Good luck with your uni! This video I made a long time ago explains the string muting concept: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2iUo3uGhqhsbMk
