Hey it's Richard here with Platinum Ponds & Lake Management here in Charlotte, NC. Here today we are treating a retention pond at the AltaGrove Apartments complex in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can see here we've been doing some treatments to kill back aquatic weeds and marginal plants. This drainage area needs to be opened up.
One of the buy products of killing plants is we had to re-fertilize the area, which is the phosphorus of material that is the fuel for the algae blooms. So here we are today with pond management treating with aquatic herbicides to control the algae blooms that are happening.
